At the end of the day, he really was not a game-changing player, let’s be honest. I understand that he may act as a leadership figure for the team, but I never understood why people freaked out when he announced he was leaving. We will fill his spot; I am not worried.
He clearly likes Utah, we just have to show we like and want him! Utah needs to lock kids like this up as soon as they step on campus. Look at Texas Tech, for instance!
Also, his ranking is not a misleading, he really is that good!
Only a Whitt-coached team would go from being one inch short of a long-pass TD on 2nd down to a 3rd and ten run up the middle. Our offensive play calling was horrendous.
We can agree to disagree! The Pac 12 did not scare me in terms of the teams we played. The only time I truly “feared” a team was last year when Oregon traveled to SLC. We battled the national runner-up with a squad of backups. The main thing I love about the Big 12 is that the fans are great, and there really isn’t a “bad” team, other than Houston. Houston has been recruiting well since joining the conference though, so who knows!
Faison has not officially signed or “committed” anywhere, although he has been impressed with Alabama’s facility during his visit. Utah has always been an appealing destination for RBs, a 1-2 punch featuring Parker and Faison would be very fun to watch!
I am curious, why are you happy about the Beck hiring? He does have some impressive stats at the first glance, but when you look at the individual statistics, it is a bit concerning. Having the 78th best passing offense in the country in terms of YPG is concerning, considering we need to modernize our offense. The QB that entered the portal for instance has more rushing yards than passing yards this season. Beck’s hiring feels like more of the same from Whitt to me.
For the states with larger pools of talent, for sure. However, Utah needs to land on a higher percentage of them to stay successful. Does that mean landing a five-star? Of course not, but repeatedly missing out on near or current in-state four-stars cannot happen for our Utes.
Snowden was tired by the fourth, that was clear to me. He played great for the majority of the game; our offense just could not give the defense a suitable break. I am so sick of Ludwig.
