With replacing both stud safeties and a corner a 4 ranking in DB’s is generous. May work out that way but I don’t know.

Redblood replied to the topic Does anyone know why our recruiting in the forum Football 6 months, 1 week ago
My take is winning the PAC created momentum and helped us land recruits. Especially that win over USC to get to our second Rose. The way our season played out and finished lacked the same kind of momentum. Will be interesting to see why would happen if, for instance, we won the 12 and made a playoff appearance coming up. Going to be tough but if…[Read more]

If Ellis, Vaki, Bishop, and JQJ had stayed I would say we would be THEE favorites. Lots of talent left, still have a good amount but are going to need some injury good luck.

Who wrote the article? Had to be someone in Utah. BYU Utah game, really? No one cares about that game in the Big 12 at all. A team who will be projected outside of the top 10 in conference can’t make this list.

Live by the 3, die by the 3. We’re tough when unconscious from 3 can we do it for 3 more games?

Kind of why I get confused about folks saying teams like Arizona lost a lot. Add Ellis to that list and from an outsiders perspective you would say we have also lost a ton of of talent, arguably our 3 best. And Vele, and Matthews, and Laumea and Bills who were our two best lineman. We have a lot of reason to be optimistic but we have also lost a…[Read more]

That’s the whole point, you need players. Who recruited Delon, Jacob, and Kuz? And who has Smith recruited? Let’s have this discussion this time next year. You can’t say coach K’s 4th year doesn’t count because he recruited too well. We now have upperclassmen out the wazoo and our best case is maybe making the tourney. That is because we haven’t r…[Read more]

I thought BYU fans might bring that up, there were other non call PI’s that were worse throughout the game. Thought it was consistent with how the game was being called which to me is the most important thing.

Huge upgrade from Larry? larry went 21-12 in year 3, then in year four (next year for Smith) they went 26-9 and went to the sweet 16, year 5 27-9. and won the first game of the NCAA tournament. That was in a total rebuild just like Smith. You telling me now that they will lose BC and Baj at the least, they will sniff the sweet 16? Their roster was…[Read more]

Not being able to win at ASU, and Arizona is nowhere where near where we should be because we have a substantial recruiting advantage over them? What does that mean, we’re like BYU in that we are just supposed to be better than them because we’re Utah?

I love how this team is playing but it is way too early to make a call on our head coach. When coach K orchestrated the incredible turnaround and took us from nothing to the sweet 16 I knew he was the right hire. Wasn’t too long after that I was wondering why we kept him for so long.
Coach Smith still needs to show us he can recruit NBA level p…[Read more]
