Their last two TD drives were gratuitous. The first they failed on third down on their own territory but were bailed out by a targeting call. Looked like the right call but had the defender not dipped his head the drive was over.
The second, on third down Hall threw a pass a little in front like Cam to Enis. Like Solo, the WR tipped it and it…[Read more]

Just reading between the lines: Is it fair to say the D line isn’t as stout as in past years?

To an extent by the same token a lot of the preseason hype comes from what our offense did to OSU in the Rose bowl. They (OSU) had 5 starters out in that game. ESPN has Florida with 52% chance to win, this game will be tough. I think our experience and not having to learn a new offense and defense (like they do) gives us enough of an edge to get…[Read more]

Redblood replied to the topic Utes favored by Vegas and the Major Press… But Utah getting dogged by others. in the forum Football 2 years, 2 months ago
It’s a two edged sword. Now that we’ve started to play better opponents in bowl games we miraculously go from can’t be beat ever, to losing quite a bit. When we first started PAC play we won like every OOC game but one, even tho we had a losing record in conference. Made our overall season seem better. You can’t schedule those good teams OOC and…[Read more]

Bishop should have 4 sacks. One of the worst roughing the passer calls of all time against AZ.

Or did Oregon quit on a coach they knew had quit on them. It’s a possibility which is why we have to be careful with expectations. Hope the team the team plays like an underdog cause we might actually be…

You don’t think he is as good as Dalton? He would have a chip on his shoulder for not being on the award list. That kind of thing drives alphas like Brant.

Whatever position he is, you can bet there is a chip on his shoulder. He’s going to go full on beast mode starting at Fl.

The truth is: Had USC and UCLA done this at the same time as Oklahoma and Texas left the Big 12, BYU would not be in.

Arizona improved greatly last year and had a great recruiting class. Honestly, I’m worried about them and Oregon State when we play them. That’s not to say they can’t lose those games, but both of those teams keep getting better.

That’s clearly a fan base that isn’t used to playing in a P5 conference. They want sexy out of conference games? With their depth that is akin to saying they want a Losing record.

DE worries me the most. Our D is reliant upon getting pressure on the QB. And while there are many ways to accomplish that, it seems like our best defenses had at least one elite rusher. We lose Tafua this year. Would love to see us get a stud from the portal there. And Free safety.

Weddle had a huge hit on Cincinnati’s last series that stopped Tyler Boyd 1 yard short of a first down on first down. The Bengals ended up not getting a first down there and the game was over. Head he made the first down on first down it changes the play calls and you never know. It turned out not only to be a big hit, but a big play. All with a t…[Read more]

Stoked about Sione Vaki. Not sure he’ll be ready to play this year, but I think eventually he’ll have a great career at safety here. Really talented kid.
