Our ability to win close games will make the difference. We will be competitive in every game. We will a lot of close ones and the Rose bowl is a possibility. Lose a few and we have 8-9 wins.

Seems like Glass has had a hard time breaking into the 3 deep there. Definitely was a high rated recruit but they don’t seem to bummed he leaving. More like “Good for him, he should go to Tulsa and get some playing time”. Maybe he was injured?

I think their logic will be Roderick was really the one running the show so Grimes is getting out while he can.

What about Barton at LB? Possibly the best of all of them.

Don’t agree. You would be upset to find out you are the same team you always were if you were tested.

Not when he was healthy. We were a different team with him on the field.

I don’t know that being picked 2nd in the South this year is overhyped. We have to replace NFL talent at QB, RB, DL, LB and the entire secondary. That is a ton of talent, more than we’ve ever had to replace.
From that perspective it makes sense. Not expecting a decent drop off is kind of like LSU fans being surprised. They have a ton of tal…[Read more]

You could see their skill players clearly lacked P5 talent. Their OL looked P5 good. BYU is the same every year. When they play a team they can run all over they look amazing. When you stop their run and they have to rely on Wilson, he throws picks.
It’s tough for their fan base because they look so good against those teams. It’s Typically tou…[Read more]

I just don’t see it. We’re losing too many amazing players. You forget how hard it is to replace when you have a couple years with experience.
The two years after this will be amazing. We’ll take our oats this year IMO.

Pope had his team in the tournament because he had 7 seniors who were good and experienced. In fairness, he recruited Yoeli to come back… But he is far from proven. I know you were talking more about leverage but Pope has a long way to go before they know what they have.
Coach K has his contract because of strong success (Sweet 16), relatively…[Read more]

And why were Joe Burrow at LSU, Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma, and Justin Fields at Ohio State? All three transfers that you may recognize as 3 Heisman finalists.
This is a different playing field. What used to be true about transfers isn’t always true now. These two can flat out ball. And with Ludwigs knack for putting QB’s in a position to suc…[Read more]

I’ll just say you’re choking if you don’t show up. These guys are way fun to watch. Play hard, and are athletic and skilled. Future is bright if the right players stay. I think it’s different this time and they will stay. If they do you’re gonna want to be there.

Oregon’s D was locking down opponents prior to their game with WA. This is a different O than what we have been playing. Doesn’t mean we won’t find success, but they have a much better OL and QB than what we’ve feasted on. Good news is for the first time in a while our Offense can win games too. Play clean and our O gives us the W IMO.

Huntley’s hesitancy makes sense now. Covey said Ludwig has drummed it in Tyler that we don’t throw picks or take sacks. Look, Tyler is extremely accurate and has an amazing QBR. But even against ISU he had a hard times at times pulling the trigger. That works against lesser competition.
It will be interesting what we do against USC. Can’t hold…[Read more]

If Umana and Maea can’t go it will make it that much harder. Could be tougher sledding for the O than we want it to be.
