USC’s football schedule is brutal next year. Their first bye comes after 7 games. The sequence of those game: Alabama (pseudo-neutral site in Arlington Texas), Utah State, @Stanford, @Utah, Arizona State, Colorado, @Arizona.
Playing Alabama, Utah State, and Stanford before flying to SLC for a Friday game, the schedule set up nicely for a USC…[Read more]

Was waiting for my tires to get rotated at Costco and saw him with his family. Still wearing some Utes gear which was cool. Well was a mix of Utes and Raiders gear but still cool to see his love for the Utes.

We need to get more senior citizens on our coaching staff. Mack Brown doesn’t know it yet, but desperately he wants to coach the WR position at Utah.

If he were to win 8-10 in his first season, which he won’t, the expectations would never go down for him. (Kiffin 101 – coaching an entitled fan base.)

Not to say anything disparaging about a KW defense but pointing to his defense success at Utah being very much under the tutelage of Whitt and his experience on his own with the Beavs being statistically terrible even though progressed by the end of the season. Successful head coaches need knowhow both sides of the ball. His experience on…[Read more]

I’m not sold on the hire as a knockout either. He’s running a KW defense, has never head coached before, and is dealing with a Duke/ND/Texas/Auburn type entitled fanbase. Also, he’s walking into a scheduling nightmare for a first year coach. Yeah, he’s a great recruiter but the Zoob independence curse he’s going to have to recruit against.

Do you think the hire will change the rivalry at all? I’ve always liked Sitake but he’s coaching to beat us now and is full zoob at this point.

A little ironic that the dirtiest team in America is calling themselves the light. But, meh, f^ck it, go Dark Side!!

My dad is a retired CW5. My cousin is an active Rear Admiral, both gulf wars. I have a real tough time rooting on this one. I guess we don’t want fence sitters. Black Knicks if I have to pick.

I’m monogamous to my Utes and I’ll cheer for them first and always. Going into the bowl season it’s fun to see other teams and conferences play. If I was gonna cheat, I’ll admit I do have a bit in heart for Texas A&M also. Anyone else have a secret second team?

Not excited. Lot to lose and little to gain.

No doubt the Miami Beach Brawl will not be forgotten by JF. Although I don’t wish ill on Bronco, I think JF is a fantastic coach that will dominate that rivalry. No more nut punches on Bronco’s watch that he can hide behind “handling internally.”

Totally agree on the ESPN announcers. That game was close at points but the Utes were always in control. Major bias on the way they explaining the game. End of the game the Utes “held on” on to a win at 10 points?!!…

Agree with your thoughts. But if we were overlooking SUU in preparation for the Aztecs, I would have thought we’d see much more physical, defensive minded play. Like you said, don’t want to overreact to a game we won but going into the game I thought this would be a typical ‘pre-season’ warm up game. Was a lot more competitive than I would have…[Read more]

Not sure I follow your train of thought on Putin. If Putin somehow played a role in this, creating a war via France would create a NATO nightmare for Russia. China is not going to willing support Russia if it is found out the Russia played a role. Proxy wars are one thing, but state sanctioned support against a major power is suicide for…[Read more]

Just got back from the game too. Don’t know what to think about that game. In the second half I wondered if Utes were playing vanilla tonight but haven’t ever heard of good bball teams playing vanilla against easier competition. The other thought I had was that maybe SUU was better than expected. Not sure if either is thought is true. Quick…[Read more]
