Really depends on the reputation of the new Big12 vs sec b10. If it’s viewed as mwc in comparison to previous P5 then quality recruits will only choose the 2 other conferences which will cause downstream effects in the program.

This about headlines and attention. Combining war (real lives lost/maimed) with sport (entertainment) is not a classy move. Same with combining elements of religion with sport ex Catholics vs Convicts? Yeah its get headlines and motivates the player but it’s not good for the game or promoting positive interactions with fans.

Dont disagree.  I like Sitake and don’t wish ill on him or his family.  But a small segment of every fanbase goes over the top when teams lose.  On one hand it is a public position so it’s open to scrutiny. On the other hand some of the worst and most egregious offenders are blind to perspective in sports involving their favorite team

SEC and ACC have no motivation to schedule more conference games based on their current model of success in participation in the playoffs. The NCAA isn’t going to do anything to level the playing field. Scott is playing this wrong if he wants the PAC to get into the playoffs more often.
