I’m still traumatized by those inexplicable losses I went to the Freedom Bowl and watched us beat AZ that year and thought we could and should have gone farther. Still was an amazing year.

And we play all 3 of the ranked PAC-12 teams ahead of us. Going to be a heck of a stretch.

the upside is UCLA appears to have absolutely NO defense to speak of. Which means WSU can come out all ready to go pass happy but we will be punching them in the mouth in a way they did NOT feel this week.

My concern is whether or not our O can produce enough points to keep up even tough they won’t score 63 on us…they may very well score 34…[Read more]

I have concerns given that their office can still throw up 63 points on Pac-12 team…and our O just doesn’t produce like that.

I expect a close game with the issue being we can cut their production in half but will still need to up our points beyond what I’ve seen us show so far (esp with Moss out).

Still I’ll go with Utah by 3 and cross my toes.

Thought it was a shoulder separation. With KW always locking down injury info we just won’t know till we either hear he’s out for an extended time or we actually see him in practice.

My mind is spinning from the fact that Huntley was 22/30 while Fink was 21/30. But the difference was 210-351 in productivity. Those 3 big bombs made all the difference. Pittman was there whenever it mattered for USC…we had no equivalent for that with Moss out. We we need to have better “luck” with the long ball.

Agreed about how we play when seen as the lead dog. I think Kyle’s addicted to the underdog psych speech which can be very powerful. Everyone upset that we’re an 8-4 or 9-3 team needs to remember that we also have 2 undefeated seasons in the last 15 years and are honestly trending up with resources and recruits. We are a team that consistently cracks the top 25. We aren’t playing in the bahamas bowl by default. No Pac-12 teams are going undefeated. And aside from scrub…[Read more]

We will eventually beat USC at USC. Moss going down may have gotten in our heads last night. We were getting it done on Offense that first quarter. Then stalled when people saw Moss go off the field. I think we may be better than we currently feel…but not nearly as good as this last week’s hype was.

Never left a game early. I figure that in the end I’m a fan of the team, not just a fan of their wins. I’ve also seen magic happen at the last second…so once in a blue moon you get surprised.

It’s a game played by kids who don’t (yet) get paid. Almost no teams ever go undefeated. We’ve done it twice in the last 15 years. We won the Pac-12 South last year. We will win more games this year.

If being undefeated is the only way you can be happy as a football fan then switch sports to um…well stop watching sports.

The O-line just isn’t that great. I think Ludwig got great production from our running corps. I would have liked to see more passing…then again I also saw more of our passes go wild or get tipped than ever before so maybe that wouldn’t have worked. I wanted a lot more run to the edges…but would that have just let them adjust to the edges…[Read more]

Agreed. When was the last time ANY PAC-12 team made it through the season undefeated?

We just played one of the deepest teams in the nation, at their home (which is a big advantage for them) and they were on a big emotional high to prove something.

While we were walking in thinking it was our year.
