Tells you how key depth is…and something’s up with QBs this year…it sure seems like more starting QBs are going down than normal. That being said…USC sucks and they show that they can both struggle on a down year and still be so damn deep their 3d stringer would start for almost anyone else.

I wish there was a scenario where we could play in the Orange bowl only because I do think we’ll get to play for the Roses sometime soon. And having won in the Fiesta and Sugar it would be cool to get a grand slam. But no scenario allows for that atm and I suspect we’ll have an 8 team playoff (good) fairly soon (5ish years).

I hate ASU…maybe more than any other Pac-12 team. They are smug like USC, and frankly give us more fits. Nah, not after today’s loss. I think we’re going to hear a bunch more Kalani hate which is unfortunate because he’s as good as they are likely to get and he is a pretty good guy. Not that I ever want to see TDS win. I just don’t hate Kalani.

How come Leech doesn’t play more games like that against us? Hate ASU and that outcome. But at least we saw what I think is all that ASU has…we should be ready to take care of business next week.

This made me smile.

Maybe a few reps to test him out. But if he looks at all questionable I’d rather rest him this week. We don’t need to ride him into the dirt. If we can’t beat OSU without Moss we need to shut up and stop worrying about our season anyway.

I’m still traumatized by those inexplicable losses I went to the Freedom Bowl and watched us beat AZ that year and thought we could and should have gone farther. Still was an amazing year.

And we play all 3 of the ranked PAC-12 teams ahead of us. Going to be a heck of a stretch.

the upside is UCLA appears to have absolutely NO defense to speak of. Which means WSU can come out all ready to go pass happy but we will be punching them in the mouth in a way they did NOT feel this week.

My concern is whether or not our O can produce enough points to keep up even tough they won’t score 63 on us…they may very well score 34…[Read more]

I have concerns given that their office can still throw up 63 points on Pac-12 team…and our O just doesn’t produce like that.

I expect a close game with the issue being we can cut their production in half but will still need to up our points beyond what I’ve seen us show so far (esp with Moss out).

Still I’ll go with Utah by 3 and cross my toes.

Thought it was a shoulder separation. With KW always locking down injury info we just won’t know till we either hear he’s out for an extended time or we actually see him in practice.

My mind is spinning from the fact that Huntley was 22/30 while Fink was 21/30. But the difference was 210-351 in productivity. Those 3 big bombs made all the difference. Pittman was there whenever it mattered for USC…we had no equivalent for that with Moss out. We we need to have better “luck” with the long ball.
