I think 2017 had people thinking the same thing…except that Alabama didn’t win then and may not win now. Though I am highly doubtful that it will be ND to beat them. Clemson might repeat. Maybe not….but it’s not a done deal.

Nothing in that calculation forces the Holiday Bowl to skip us. The Holiday Bowl is the 3rd choice…if the “prediction” is true then they are just picking a lower win, non-division-winning team over us.

I realize the payout doesn’t matter because of the revenue sharing agreement but the TV time matters a lot. So does the quality of opponent. A ranked vs an un-ranked team. And a mid day game during a work day vs A weekend or evening time makes a bit of a difference for exposure.

I hate the sun bowl only slightly less than the Vegas Bowl

Shelly is way ahead of just about any freshman QB we’ve had that I can remember who was playing a real team with only 3 games under his belt.  

Matt Gay is a kicking god.

Green might do some running if Shyne can’t.  Clearly 0 yard passes aren’t going to get it done.

3 and out 3 and out…D will be gassed by half if we keep this up gah.

You can schedule down and still not play FCS.  Any MWC or cUSA team will on an average year still be a cake walk but not a discredit to the schedule.  Or a weak sister P5 team that at least gets us National exposure.  Playing Weber  or SUU gets us no recruiting and no TV exposure and no ranking.  We can still play easy without playing…

We really need to have Only 1 in state game a year, no FCS teams, and alternate between TDS and USU.  I’m fine never playing TDS again but realistically the arguments favor alternating between G5 opponents in state.

I missed that interview.  BTW my question isn’t intended to be negative.  I am just curious since I often hear the other coaches mentioned. 

Depends on the bowl game.  Would love to see everyone healthy enough to take some snaps but feeling plenty of love for the guys who just won us 3 great games in a row.

Or we lost Tuttle…a big ego kid who honestly couldn’t beat out two other 3 star QBs and who wasn’t nearly as good as his rep…maybe the coaches saw this and let him go before things got worse.  Don’t know.  Just know Shelly has won 3 in a row and we can now recruit again.
