The biggest quandaries for me are:

1. Given our physical pound it down your throat system, why are we recruiting so many scat backs?

2. Given the style of offense, it seems as if it should be an easy sell to bring in top rated running backs every year. I’m a little surprised we haven’t pulled a off a 5* running back yet.

Our defense has kept us in games but here’s why I’m concerned about Scalley:

1. Defense has been pretty good but has regressed quite a bit the last two years.

2. We have been having major problems tackling 3 of the last four years. Remember Florida in Gainesville + last year + this year.

Whittingham has done a lot of great things and deserves praise, his defensive player development and positioning is off the charts. He over pursues every time than puts our defense a man short.

You have to ask yourself, why is he still in? He’s clearly not right. It’s clear Wilson would be better. So, why is he still playing? Curious?

If Isaac plays, he can’t redshirt this year.

I’ve heard the Shotgun is better for shorter qb’s, in helping them to see the way the defense is set up. It’s also better for mobile qb’s. Not sure if this is why. Just a guess.

Wilson will end up being a better quarterback for Utah than Rising, but right now Rising is the right choice. If he were in this game, we wouldn’t have left points on the board. I’m excited for Wilson and the future!

Why are so many of our fans so snobby about the BIG 12? I agree that I’d rather the Pac 12 would have stayed intact. Cam’s numbers would have been just as big had he played more than one half. 5 touchdowns in one half! That’s huge! We also have more targets. McMillan was incredible, but I believe we can hold him to far below what he put up against NM.

I cursed us with my comment about cb’s statistically being injured less often.

At least CB’s are statistically some of the least likely to have injuries.
