He must be thinking of 2015, 10-3 after the bowl game.

Exactly the case here. He’s considerably smaller and is not near the pass blocker of Moss/Brum./Wilm./DHC

Totally agree. Not sure what they think makes Khalil rank higher. Him and T.H. have basically identical stats (Huntley with more pass yards by a bit, and Tate with more rush yards by a bit), except Tate has thrown 5 picks to Huntley’s 0, and Huntley is completing almost 10% more passes.

PFF Rankings: College starting quarterback rankings through Week 6
Edit: On a side note, Jordan Love has had a very poor start to his season and dropped a lot in these rankings. I’m a little sad that they used Jaren Hall as the starter instead of Zach Wilson, I’d have liked to see where he ended up on this list, the ranking for Hall is basically worthless

salty-ute replied to the topic 2 Oregon State players named Pac-12 Players of Week in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
Given the odds of recovering an onside kick, if I were a coach I would kick onside whenever getting a 15 yard penalty on a score. Basically at that point, you’re conceding field position by ~15 (25 to 40Y.L.) yards for a 20% chance to get the ball again.

So what was the onsides drop-kickoff? It looked like he kicked from the 50 yard line; did UCLA receive a personal foul on the scoring play? Did he just boot it high into the air? Would it be kick catch interference if you blocked the guy who was lined up to field the kick?

I’d bet that Gameday won’t feature this game. Especially if it’s P12 network. It’ll be Michigan v Penn St.

It’s not new. He’ll redshirt because he hasn’t fully recovered from his injury vs UW last year. It’s obvious he’s not back. Onlyu said he also had a minor soft tissue issue, but I’m doubtful that would be the main reason.

I went in 2012 with my brother, it was a fun road trip. The drive is beautiful, especially in Oregon. We and camped along the way, tons of fantastic spots to camp and do outdoors stuff (waterfalls, hot springs). We drove through bend and through the scenic byway I think via Three Sisters Wilderness area and mountain range descending into Foster…[Read more]

Correct. Simpkins actually motioned before Huntley called for it, so it’s Simpkins’ error.

The rule is that the entire offense must be set for a full second before the motion. Because of the double motion, the offense was never fully set is the argument the officials are making. I think it’s a correctly called penalty. You can see that when Fatheringham is motioning, the rest of the offense isn’t settled in.

salty-ute replied to the topic is there anything to make from Utah not kneeling on that last possession? in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
Something nobody has mentioned, I believe a big reason that Whitt kneeled @ BYU was for risk of injury. After a long break from the rain delay and heated emotions from your rival, there’s a chance that you run into injury. The WSU just game didn’t have the same feel. I also think Whitt is good friends with Sitake and it was a nice gesture. I don’t…[Read more]

Exactly this. If he wanted to give up football and move on with his life then so be it, but he obviously loves it and wants to be a positive member of the team. If he can get back to the quickness he had as a freshman and early last year adding add some strength, there’s absolutely a place for a talent like his. Great time to redshirt and develop…[Read more]

salty-ute replied to the topic So… to get 2 games with Florida… we had to add 2 more with BYU. in the forum Football 5 years, 3 months ago
I just think that BYU has to take the place of our B or C game every year. BYU cannot be our A game. Harlan is determined to keep the BYU series going, which I think is a good thing overall. The rivalry (on the field) was as clean as I’ve seen it this year, and I think it’s enjoyable. I’d personally like to alternate years with USU and BYU, but…[Read more]
