He’s too slow to play LB, he over pursues to try and combat the speed weakness and it only burns himself

If our coaching staff continues to be stubborn, we will continue to lose.
• playing Cam because of blind loyalty and in spite of the fact that he’s the worst option when he’s unhealthy
• play-call a predictable offense, with lack of creativity…. e.g. insisting that we have the o-line to bully people with the 4th & 1 type of calls up the mid…[Read more] -
salty-ute replied to the topic we deserve better in the forum Football 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Can agree here. As fans, we don’t ‘deserve’ really good football teams, we just hope for it. But when we spend our time and money and put our hearts into our team, I think we deserve to know what’s going on with Cam. Blowing smoke up the skirt about how Cam is “almost there” is just rude to the fans and deluded to think it actually gives you a…[Read more]

Don’t like this clickbait title when we’ve had players in the program die and we have a player named Rose. Genuinely had me concerned. RIP to Pete Rose, but it’s totally different for an 83 y/o to die than a player

for #2 I heard that he’s having some personal struggles. Apparently he tweeted some cryptic message and instantly deleted it about how life was testing him or something. Take this with at least one grain of salt.
agree on the rest of your points!

I could be wrong, but watching from the stands it looks like multiple times the ball slipped from Cam’s hand and sailed high on him. I wonder if the wet football was the main issue on Sat.

Whitt used to coach special teams. It’s now delegated and it shows that coach Shah doesn’t cut it as special teams coordinator. He’s a good DB coach and does a good job recruiting and coaching the athletes in those positions and even kick coverage. But he’s doesn’t know how to coach or recruit the P or K.

salty-ute started the topic Utah struggles to contain mobile QBs? in the forum Football 2 years, 2 months ago
I’ve heard several people express that Utah struggles with mobile QBs and I tend to agree. Anthony Richardson tore us up, but he’s played very poorly since. I know we’ve played solid against UCLA, but we haven’t faced DTR since 2019 when he struggled and threw 2 picks. I’ll be very curious to see what our plan is to contain the QBs for the next…[Read more]

How often does gameday showcase a game that is a primetime feature on a competing network? ESPN has a conflict of interest to hype the games for competitors’ view count. ESPN won’t advertise a game for Fox.

I get frustrated with some of the close-mindedness in local sports media. I see so many of these guys dying on a hill, so to speak, and refusing to acknowledge the full picture.
I get it, it’s a big win against a great team. The Utes deserve a bunch of credit for putting together that giant margin of victory. Nonetheless, there is space for…[Read more]

Agree… I hear a lot of confidence from Ute fans and local media. Keep hearing about how Florida thinks they’re so much better but we’re actually the better team. I feel like it’s a huge task to go in and beat Florida in a season opener. Not to mention we’ve been a slow starting team the last couple years. Think of how we showed up to play BYU…[Read more]

Just want to satiate my curiosity with some anecdotes. Do you know of anyone that likely picked up covid at the game in Pasadena? I know a bunch of people that have gotten sick shortly after going down to the game.
