Why have I never realized this? I think I remember it having something to do with Notre Dame.
Good hell Harlan is insane. I guess after back to back Rose Bowls with Rising you kind of see why. But the value seems to make ZERO sense after two years of this shit show at QB. Ludwig doesn’t even take all of the blame if I am being fair.

I am hearing rumors that the bald guy. The QB analysis guy Mike Bajakan is taking over as OC.
I looked up Northwestern stats for when he was the play called 2020-2023:
Northwestern averaged 23 ish PPG in 2020, 16ish in 2021, 13.8 in 2022 and 22.1 in 2023

Appreciate Andy for all he’s done for Utah Football, but it was time. It had to happen.

Yes but in hopefully an amusing light hearted way that we can look back on and laugh about.

“Three season ending injuries” should be nuff said but not with Utah fans.

Crappy team, nothing left to play for, rival is experiencing success, rivalry game is more important to us then it is them.
Mostly joking, I don’t believe this team is that bad, but it certainly has some issues to work out. This week’s game is huge for getting back on track.

He has a contract in place that that says he’ll be promoted to the HC when Whittingham retires. Of course, contracts can be voided, just requires money and some backstabbing.

You’re probably right. I’m sure the defense just seems worse than usual because they’ve given up backbreaking big plays in both of the losses. The two Fifita throws and the two Skattebo runs were just killshots.

UteFanatic replied to the topic Unfamiliar Territory in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
Statistically, they aren’t a terrible defense. But you have to admit, this is not the defense we are used to. Even Whittingham said after the loss to ASU that the defense is underperforming.

It’s been a long time since we’ve been this bad on both sides of the ball. I can accept that the offense won’t be stellar with an 18-year-old freshman QB or a 20% healthy Cam Rising. But what is with the defense? Missed tackles, poor angles, lack of effort and enthusiasm. Barton was a highly recruited LB and has taken a major step backward…[Read more]

UteFanatic replied to the topic Is Hill top contender for DC if KW retires and Scalley is named HC? in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
Hill should be a top contender for the HC position. IDGAF about Scalley’s “HC-in-waiting” contract.

EagleMountainUte replied to the topic Do we have a head coach problem? in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
Harlan is supposedly a guy that gets booster donations. While I think he has done well with NLI transition. Basketball is completely held back by him. Smith was a horrible hire.

I have seen many people unsatisfied with Scalley. I am like who trust Harlan to make a hire? I think aiming for “Whitt Jr” is 100% the best decision until we find an AD.

Wanting and being capable to
Play are different things. Well paid coaches need to make those tough decisions. There is no way of knowing if Wilson, Rose or Huard would have done better.Gundy dumped his QB against Utah. Second guy sucked and then he put his guy back in who made it a game.
Rising is at a point though where mental toughness…[Read more]

Yeah I don’t know about that last statement. I don’t get fans fascination with Hill. You have zero evidence to suggest that he will be all world. I still think we roll with Scalley.
My biggest problem with Scalley is he really is still young and doesn’t have connections outside of Utah at all. I wonder where he gets the offensive coaches.

The consecutive bowl losses really make you wonder. Penn State and Northwestern are particularly discouraging.
I say all of the time that Utah needs to get into the Big10. But damn even in a bowl game all those teams had to do was downshift once before coasting to a win. How do we think regular season will be?
