Guys, I’m still baffled CU beat UW. CU pretty much shut UW down and easily controlled the game. What the hell is happening? Has CU significantly improved or has UW completely imploded this year? Is it both? I’m honestly less surprised by ASU’s win over Oregon than I am with CU’s win over UW. Oregon showed signs of weakness this year and I…[Read more]

I will start off with the defense because I think this is obvious. Bradlee Anae is going to be setting the all time sack record this weekend. Dimick was so outstanding for his career. The steady hand on many great defensive lines. Arguably I would say this Dline is the best Utah has ever had. Anae is a freak of nature on that field.

UteFanatic started the topic Theoretical matchup vs Minnesota in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
Does anyone know how one would predict the outcome if Utah were to play Minnesota? It seems likely that if Utah goes to the Rose Bowl, they have a very good chance of playing Minnesota. I’m just wondering what that theoretical match up would look like.
I know there are ways of doing this using Sagarin, FPI, and SP+ rankings – but I don’t know…[Read more] -

14/19 201 yards 2 TDs through the air.
11 carries for 64 and 1 touchdown on the ground.
1 catch for 58 yards and and touchdown.

UteFanatic replied to the topic You know what's really strange? in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
I was careful not to use the word “poor” in my original post because that’s not accurate. I think mediocre still applies here because everything is relative, and compared to what we’re used to, it is very much a downgrade and we’d be upset about it if the offense was like those of years past.
My only point was that we’ve barely even noticed the…[Read more]

For the first time in a long time, Utah’s placekicking and punting are mediocre. However, we’ve barely even noticed because our offense has been excellent, therefore, we don’t punt very often and now score touchdowns instead of field goals.
It’s weird as a Ute fan to have a very good offense. -

LA times article on UCLA loss.
“You can’t give them that many opportunities,” UCLA coach Chip Kelly said. “That’s kind of what the game boiled down to.”
Turnovers were a big part of this game. I think it was UCLA’s tackling. Which shows poor coaching. Bad effort and horrible angles. Moss really didn’t have to try to hard to slip tackles.…[Read more]

“Never, never consider that,” Whittingham said. “That’s something that we don’t do, won’t do; that’s just how it is. We weren’t trying to run it up tonight, and we pulled our guys and just start running the football. The reason we left the gas pedal down a little longer tonight is: I watched that Washington State-UCLA game a month ago or…

Close to a complete game offensively. A few silly mistakes on offense. The turnover that ended up not biting us in the ass. The hits on Huntley concerned me and how long he played. Glad that he ended up with player of the week offensive numbers again. Moss was a beast. When Willmore got his shots it was impressive. Oline needs to be motivated a…[Read more]
