I haven’t paid too much attention to other teams, but I always assumed kicker and punter are separate. Why is it a problem? Seemed to work great with Gay/Wishnowsky and Andy/Hackett.

A FG is worth half a TD, so it makes sense to invest more in our kicking game. While we shouldn’t rely on kickers to win games, they shouldn’t be the reason we lose either. I’m optimistic about the new kicker we just signed.

The offense has deservedly faced criticism, but the STs and S&C coaching also need serious attention, and possibly a complete overhaul. ^^ This. Whitt could’ve easily earned more money by going elsewhere in his heydays, so I don’t fully get the 20 MM angle. Maybe it is a factor, but it may or may not be a substantial one.

Assuming Scalley is HC, I’d be very happy if we could get Mullen (OC) and Hill (DC). The Mullen connection needs to be persuaded harder. He might be interested in going the Chip Kelly route.

Since most people are clamoring for Whitt’s “retirement”, who is your hypothetical pick for the HC job?
Someone mentioned Petersen and DeBoer in another thread, and I’d 100% go with either over Scalley. I’m a big Whitt fan, but I’d have taken Petersen even in Whitt’s best years; he’s that good IMO!

Admittedly, I’m not as generous as you when it comes to wishing the rival team well, but I appreciate your posts and comments. Overall, my rivalry sentiments are limited to the sport aspect.
