I think I was the only person to have a perfect day one bracket. Yes, I’m patting myself on the back.
No sure it will hold through today though. Of the games going on right now I have Michigan and New Mexico State. -

So what do we know about Boise State? How do we match up? I will admit I know next to nothing about them. Seems like there are some confident Boise State fans on their scout forum.
I believe Utah is 4-3 against BSU all-time, not that It matters.

So what does Utah have to do it get a bid to the NCAA Tournament?
Will beating Cal/OSU & 1 seed Oregon be enough to get an at-large bid or will we need to win the conference tournament to get in?
Utah & Iowa seem to be in a very similar situation. Both have 18 wins against DI competition, similar RPI (71 & 73 currently) but Iowa has two wins…[Read more]

I really don’t mind the political discussions, but is there any doubt that Utefans had turned, primarily, into a political forum? It’s technically not even the off-season. Basketball is in full swing and football signing day is next week.

Actually, Alabama runs a spread offense and has done so for 3 years now since the hiring of Lane Kiffin. I don’t expect them to change under Sarkisan either.
How Saban recruits and builds his teams have drastically changed within the last 4-5 years. Even his defenses are primarily built upon speed now.

You’re correct, in fact the Cotton Bowl may even be more likely. Western Michigan is the most likely G5 participant for the New Year’s Six bid and thus would be our opponent. I think its likely both fan bases would be disappointed with that matchup. I’m sure Western Michigan would prefer to play a more brand name team to prove themselves against.

I didn’t take into account the margin of victory/Loss. Oklahoma got blown out both its losses. Plenty of teams had narrow wins over bad opponents.
