I think you’re wildly overestimating Utah’s overall place in the college football landscape.

Don’t forget about UCF. If they lose today (which is a distinct possibility, after they lost their stud QB), they might drop out of the top 12 as well since their SOD is 94th.

Expressing frustration with the officials because it was a horrible non-call and arguing that the single call cost Utah the game are very different things.

UW had a hell of a defense, and while I agree that the play-calling could have been much better (especially in the first half), we simply needed someone to step up and make a play…and no one did. Nope. Played them in the Vegas Bowl one of the years there wasn’t a regular season match-up.

FWIW, I’ve heard a number of interviews with both Whit and Scalley that mention how great it is to have Anderson around. Seems like he’s done a ton of “behind the scenes” work with the defense that is much appreciated, but not particularly public.

As long as he’s cool with the lack of a spotlight, I absolutely love having him involved.
