SkinyUte replied to the topic I have 1 question and 1 question only regarding the spring game in the forum Football 3 years, 8 months ago
Still TBD, I think.
The OL wasn’t great today (Brewer would have been murdered a couple times if he hadn’t been wearing the ‘no-touchie’ jersey), but it was mostly backups so…
I think we still don’t have any idea.

To be fair, there were at least two of those plays where he would have been utterly destroyed in live play. O-line still feels like it could be a bit of a concern.

SkinyUte replied to the topic I highly doubt the game against USC happens next week in the forum Football 4 years, 1 month ago
Yesterday, LA County had 2,400 cases for 10M people.
Utah had 4,000 cases for 3M people.
I’d say one of those is significantly worse that the other.

USU might be putting on the worst tackling display I’ve ever seen. Good lord, they are bad.

ESPN was just touting Wilson as the #2 best QB prospect in the country, behind Lawrence.
Amazing what tacking up yards against bad teams will do for your image.

In other news, Big XII defenses are still absolutely atrocious.

I’d also add that when I was a college athlete a lifetime ago, there was a hell of a lot more chance of me getting in trouble when I was at school than when I was at home.
School was all about parties, beer, and general shenanigans, while home was generally about sitting abound being bored.

So in your mind, University Presidents are willing to forgo hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue to their schools because of…communism.
I’m not even sure how to respond to that, to be honest. Other than to observe that you and I do truly live in entirely different realities.

SkinyUte replied to the topic How much risk is too much? in the forum Football 4 years, 4 months ago
A University President’s primary job is to ensure the school makes money. Period. The idea that every single President would voluntarily vote for an action that causes every P12 school to lose their primary revenue stream just so they can play stupid political games is laughable on its face.
I believe that they made an incredibly difficult…[Read more]

Looks like this is one of the key drivers behind the potential cancellation. There’s no way any school takes that risk. Hopefully we know more by either spring or next fall as to the impact here.
A rare heart condition that could be linked with the coronavirus is fueling concern among Power 5 conference administrators about the viability of…

I’m not worried about the 20 year old players. They’ll likely be fine, regardless.
I’m worried about the support staff, the facilities folks, the coaches, the trainers, and everyone else who it might then spread to who isn’t a finely tuned DI athlete.

Look, if you’re the type to believe such things, then there’s not a single thing that I or anyone else could say here that would dissuade you. So by all means, continue to believe that Wayfair is running a child trafficking ring if that somehow makes you feel better.
That’s the convenient thing about the current broad and vast conspiracy theor…[Read more]
