Where did you get these numbers? Koli Faaiu and Viliami Pouha have already committed so that doesn’t seem very high at 80% for Koli.

  • CB replied to the topic Scalley in the Wall Street Journal in the forum Football 5 years ago

Of coarse he was called out, it’s the Wall Street Journal lol.

  • CB replied to the topic Scalley in the forum Football 5 years ago

It’s a bad word, but do you seriously think 15 years of contributing to the success of a business wouldn’t even be a factor into you being fired for saying the n-word? Come on people, don’t give this word so much damn power. No one should say it, but to lose your job for saying it 7 years ago is a bit extreme.

  • Can you send me a message too? I’m pretty new here and don’t know who he is but am curious where he gets his info

  • @Pace – Not sure why Harlan would feel the need to “break the bubble” when Utah has been consistently ranked in the top 25. We were a G5 school less then a decade ago, and so for you to have the desire for him to “think progressively” and hire an outsider with a certain skin color (which is the textbook definition of racism btw so good job)…[Read more]

That’s really interesting news. I was assuming it was partly because of the Morgan Scalley news, because I think the day after the news came out is when all of the experts changed their crystal balls for him to Washington. That’s good info to know.

  • CB replied to the topic College football coaching job tiers in the forum Football 5 years ago

I’m not gonna copy and paste the entire article, because I’m sure there is some sort of legal reason I shouldn’t, but I’ll go ahead and tell you each school in each tier and what the article says about Utah:

Tier 1: Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, USC

Tier 2: Auburn, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame,…[Read more]

Also good to hear something positive after the Morgan Scalley news came out.

  • CB started the topic DE Villiami Pouha commits to Utah in the forum Football 5 years ago

Son of Coach Pouha. Looks to have a lot of potential, excited to see how him and his dad interact with eachother and how that will manifest on the field.

  • @Pace Alright bud, that’s enough virtue signaling for today.

    “smh….so white.”

Wtf does that even mean? You claim to be holier than all, yet your racism is on full display. What if I said “smh…so black.” directed towards something someone did. See how that might not be ok to say?

Concering one of your comments above:

    And this is what…

@Pace I’m pretty sure when recruits see guys like Julian Blackmon, Terrell Burgess, Marcus Williams, Siaosi Mariner, Raelon Singleton, Nick Ford, etc. defending Coach Scalley’s character and publicly saying he is not a racist and is one of the greatest most loving men they know and are where they are today because of him, I’m pretty sure…[Read more]

  • It seems the general consensus was the recruit was Raelon Singleton. Just want to be clear that he is the one your talking about here?

  • While I do think that the word should not be used anymore, some African-Americans use that word to try to reclaim it and remove the derogatory history.

That literally makes zero sense. Not saying it at all is how you fix the problem and get people to stop saying it. I don’t condone the use of the word ever, but to say only one race can say it…[Read more]

  • If black people can say it, then white people can say it. The only reason there is a problem with people saying that word regularly, is because it’s every other word in mainstream rap. You don’t hear people using other derogatory terms directed at other groups of people frequently like you do with the N word. Stop putting it in rap, stop calling…[Read more]

  • So you’re ok with living in a world that doesn’t tolerate a single mistake? You’re cool with living in a world where ONE WORD sent in a text can cost you your job and your livelihood 7 YEARS LATER? It’s a bad word, but losing your job over saying it in a text is ridiculously extreme buddy…

  • CB replied to the topic Scarlet suspended. in the forum Football 5 years ago

This might very well cripple the entire football program depending on what was said. I f***ing hate the world we live in, where a man can’t make a single goddamn mistake, and can even lose his job from 1 word that was said years ago. F*** our society, I am so sick and tired of this cancel-culture bullsh*t.

  • It’s insane how we have become so soft as a society, that one goddamn word from almost a decade ago can single-handedly cost you your job and ruin your life. Holy fucking shit, people need to grow up. Yes it is a bad word, but in what world should it cost you your job 7 years after sending it in a text?

  • CB replied to the topic New commit in the forum Football 5 years ago

Lets hope he’s got enough influence to bring him here. I’m cautiously optimistic about landing Latu, would be huge for this years recruiting class.

  • 4 star athlete Will Latu out of Washington is leaning towards Utah currently. It’s a battle between us and UW, he is going to announce his decision on Fathers Day, so things can change, but as of right now, it’s looking good for Utah.

Also 4 star LB Mason Tufaga out of Hawaii looks to be a lock for us. I think his dad played at the U back in the…[Read more]
