Appears to me that our best rebounders (Tillman and Seeley in my opinion) are coming off the bench. You can throw Jayce Johnson into that mix as well – he looks awkward but he’s aggressive. I only saw the box score and was wondering why Delon only played 10 minutes. That’s too bad, finally gets his chance this year to contribute on a regular basis and gets hit with another injury.

Missouri will be a good measuring stick on Thursday, hopefully Barefield will be feeling up to par by then.

Didn’t see the play in question but I’m fairly certain in the NFL that the ground can cause a fumble if the ball carrier isn’t touched. I suppose in the right circumstance it could also cause a fumble in college ball, but it would have to be a play that didn’t involve the player going to the ground. The worst is when it’s upper 30’s, lower 40’s, not quite cold enough to snow so it’s just a freezing cold November rain that soaks everything. There’s a reason Axl Rose wrote a song about it because it’s miserable.

Hard to take too much away from a game like this, but it appears our best rebounders will come off the bench with Tillman and Seeley. Barefield looked good, and if anyone is to become a go-to guy down the stretch it’s him, but hard to tell until the competition improves.

Agreed, we should be used to seeing offensive struggles by now, but not from the defense, not to this extent. That’s been our calling card – that and our one team crusade to prove that kickers are people too.
