To be fair they weren’t bad looking, especially the cougar side of the helmet. Other side with both their standard Y and the mountains was too busy, needed to go with either one or the other.

An UDFA signs a contract with the team so they have some guaranteed money coming their way and also means they’re more likely to make it past the first mini camp because of that team investment. Minicamp invite is basically an unpaid tryout with the team (though I believe they at least receive a stipend for the tryout.)

Wholeheartedly agree, take a page from gymnastics marketing of the past and give those upper bowl tickets away (that’s how I attended many a gymnastics meet back in the day.) On a similar note, a little piece of each of us died the day the student section/MUSS stopped hitting boxes around during the games. Incredibly stupid, but also somewhat entertaining when a “Free the box!” chant would break out whenever an usher would inevitably confiscate said box.

He has certainly regressed this year compared to last. Part of it might be being asked to play out of position at center when he’s more a natural 4.

He has to prove himself with recruiting and the transfer portal (missing out on Chandler definitely hurt) but I agree that there is some reason for optimism in a bad year. The team hasn’t quit on him and they battle to the end just haven’t gotten over the hump in the close games.

If we can’t beat Oregon State the losing streak might never end. The Arizona State game at home is the only other one right now that I look at it and think we’ve got a legitimate shot. Otherwise we should be an underdog in every other game.

Always thought it would be cool to hold one throwback game a year in the Fieldhouse even though it’s an impossibility given that the Fieldhouse is no longer capable in any way of hosting a basketball game.

I would settle for a mini-helmet version of the Rose Bowl helmet.

I’m with you, I like the idea of having one local game slot and rotating it between BYU and Utah State. I would suggest a 4 year/2 year rotation with BYU obviously being the 4 year option with a two year break to play the Aggies.

Looks like the rankings were based on total number of sacks allowed, which seems like the absolute worst way to base it given that there was nothing approaching a uniform number of games for everyone. Utes have already started to allow fans for the Spring sports, though they haven’t announced how the Spring football game is going work. Baseball is still honoring season tickets purchased for last year and I definitely plan on getting out to a couple of games.
