I largely agree with you except the injuries. I understand your angle about the benefits they have when rehabbing an injury, but “you make a lot of money, I don’t care that you blew out your knee” is a bit harsh.

The one announcer had a couple of pretty good lines, I thought he was entertaining at least. To quote a text I received from my brother: “That guy could play a young Jack Black in a movie about how Jack Black became a video game play-by-play guy.” Sadly, I would probably watch this movie.

We also have a kid from Finland coming in, and we just offered a 4 star guy out of Detroit (I think.) On paper we could be good next year. But we have to keep everyone around, can’t be losing any of these core guys.

I think it’s long been the assumption that this would be the direction the conference would go ever since the Raiders announced they were moving to Vegas. This seems to be the first official step towards that eventuality.

My thoughts as well. Attendance at these games will be highly dependent on weather. I’ll sit in any type of weather for the Utes, but I don’t have that emotional investment with the Stallions.

The fan in me that grew up with the rivalry in the 80s and 90s likes that we’re continuing to play them and there was something cool about playing them in November like the old days. Bit of a buzz on Twitter but nothing significant yet. Once the season starts it may pick up. It will be cool to see some of the former Utes back in action.

Different AD now who hopefully will have a different scheduling approach. Should be no reason we can’t schedule BYU and a P5 team.

I think 2 or 3 is more likely and it would take teams separating themselves from the pack.
