I’m not getting up my hopes because Indiana State is a solid team and as you mentioned, this is a de facto road game for us. That being said, I’ll be in front of the TV watching at 5:00, because you never know. Go Utes!

The crowd was definitely at least borderline great tonight. They were into it from the jump (helped that we got out to such a good start), and surprisingly few people left early despite the blowout. Generally I can just walk up before the game to get concessions without a wait at all, tonight the lines were long enough that we decided to wait until a media timeout to try our luck – and still ended up waiting in line. Proof that there are fans out there that want to go, the U just needs to figure out how to get them there on a more regular basis. Cheaper concessions wouldn’t hurt, maybe make $1 popcorn and dogs a regular thing. It also helped that seats were opened up if season ticket holders didn’t claim their seats. That is a major issue I believe, season ticket holders just not showing up. That one’s more tricky to solve.

Couldn’t make it tonight (Sunday game and all,) but definitely planning on going Wednesday. The guys are playing hard still, good to see.

Definitely a better time, but Sunday will keep some away (myself included.) Oh well

9:30 am?! What is this, Junior Jazz? I figured there was no way they would schedule it on Sunday because you would get no one there, but with that start time it might be 50/50 which would get more people.

This feels more like the Bajema replacement that I thought Exacte had a chance to be next year. Little bit shorter than his brother, but looks like he can shoot it.

My guess is that there weren’t as many tickets sold as it looked like because season tickets holders had first dibs on their tickets until noon yesterday. What that does tell us is that there are a lot of season ticket holders that aren’t showing up.

No glitch, they mentioned at the game, and in the email recently sent out, that tickets for this game were $10. Hopefully that gets a good crowd there.

I don’t see how it could hurt. If anything, you could use it as a recruiting pitch – “we’re right on the edge of being a tournament team, you can be the player that gets us to the next level.”

At some point I guess we just have to admit that there aren’t very many basketball fans out there and the crowds won’t ever be what they once were. This team has won 20 games, gone 15-2 at home (and the ASU was the only stinker, the U of A triple OT loss was a great game), has been a fun team to watch (if exasperating at times), and fans are still in a wait and see attitude? People can use whatever excuse they want, but at the end of the day you’re a fair weather fan if you’re waiting for the ghost of Big Rick to make an appearance.
