Seemed like a decent guy. Wish him well.

Mikey likes it! Feed me! I love the idea of a stron duo of backs, a bruiser blocking strong back and a fast shifty agile back.

I went to school with Cleadus, I’m a few years younger. He was good friends with a few of my cousins and friends.
Whenever I’d see him around or at games he’d say hello. Friendliest, kindest guy ever. I’m so sad for his young family and wife. He was Utah to the core. He will be truly missed! -

To explain it in two words: total $#!tshow !

I’m excited for Dampier. I think he’ll be a big improvement from last year, as long as he’s given the keys to the car and Whitt doesn’t pull things back. I’m going to temper my expectations and go from there.
With all of this, I do want to say I’m sorry for the New Mexico Lobos. They’re team has been gutted of their head coach, OC, and now QB. I get that this is college football business, but it sucks.
Also, I still feel like I’m in the twilight zone. After that horrible season, and BYU’s amazing season, we are getting a former BYU Qb as offensive coordinator and a New Mexico Lobo QB and we’re pumped up about it. I really am excited for the change, hopeful that it improves things, but it still feels strange! -

Jim, Sadly you are too right. I was explaining NIL to my kid last night, that a 17 year old kid is going to be making $7million dollars to play at BYU. I pondered my role though small and insignificant as a fan and supporter. As long as we keep filling the seats and buying the merchandise nothing will change. As a parent if my kids could earn a paid education I would be so ecstatic. Many of the kids on these teams are doing just that, but NIL is becoming a disgusting part of college sports. My interest and passion for college sports is waning.

This is how simple this issue is: The Church leader said that the school should not engage in pay to play. Certainly everyone is free in our capitalistic society and wild west ncaa NIL rules to pay someone to play, or to be paid to play. But the statement has been made by the church. Regardless of who paid the young man, he is playing for the LDS Church’s school basketball team, and therefore the Church is authorizing pay for play “and an insane amount” to do so.
The Church will have to retract that statement, or adjust the schools ethical standards for their athletic programs. Not to open up a can of worms here on this board, but I’d like to see the church stick to their original statement. -

I kind of wish he would come back as sort of a grad assistant, QB coach intern with the ability to play if we needed. Love the guy, I believe his best interest is to move on as well as for this program. Thanks for the memories Cam, you’ll always be a legend here.

I hear that all the time about Ludwig’s offense. It is so complicated…it takes a few years to learn…Cam sat out a year and was able to learn it…Rose couldn’t learn it…on and on.
To my eyes it didn’t seem that complicated but maybe there’s some truth to that. Players aren’t able to learn complicated systems any more. I shared that link from Tom Brady saying that even pro offenses aren’t complicated now because college offenses have been dumbed down.
Looking forward to a new look! -

He had the stature of an Ewok instead of the wookie we needed to stay in the pocket. He couldn’t make the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs but he sure would hold onto the ball until the whole galaxy collapsed on him. It seemed like the team thought of him as an entitled brat that wanted to go into Tosche’s station to pick up some power converters.
That’s enough for me. Nerded out.
