sweetgrass started the topic am I high to think that WSU beats ASU? in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
granted the Cougars defense is bad, horrifically bad. ASU will be able to run and throw against them. But I sense that WSU will steam roll ASU’s D. This could be a 45 to 43 type game.

I’ve listened to the Canzona podcast. Its a very good listen. He is very bullish on Utah football, Whitt and Mark Harlan. There are some things I disagree with him on, like going to an 8 game schedule, but I liked most of what it.
I know I’m a minority here, but I like Larry Scott’s philosophy and I think it will pay off in 2024. Wilner did…[Read more]

sweetgrass started the topic Ute Hoops was my first love in the forum Basketball (Men) 5 years, 1 month ago
I’m old enough to remember when my dad took me to games at the Special Events Center before it was the Hunty. These were those good Pimm teams with Jonas, Bankowski, Judkins, etc. prior to the Jazz relocating from New Orleans. And Ute football was UNLV type bad.
I’d love for any hype around Utah hoops, but it just isn’t there. Its as low as…[Read more] -

I’d love to see it, but I can’t recall the last time USC defeated anyone of prominence outside of the conference (Rose Bowl in 2016 against Penn St was their last good OOC win).

I’ve been able to confirm through a source defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys has resigned from his post at #WSU. The Cougars have given up 105 points through two games during @pac12 play. LB coach Roc Bellantoni and CB coach Darcel McBath will take over in the interim.

sweetgrass started the topic is there anything to make from Utah not kneeling on that last possession? in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
maybe Whitt addressed this, but I found it interesting that Whitt kneels against BYU with 90 seconds left and yet doesn’t against Leach in the exact same scenario?
Apparently Whitt is close with Leach, similar to Sitake.
My gut tells me Whitt was releasing some frustrations about losing the last 4 against Leach. Clearly he doesn’t have that…[Read more] -

this goes back to the helicopter sports parent discussion again.
If I was a parent of a high profile college athlete, I’d have to distance myself completely from social media. It would be too easy to get mixed up in all that and inevitably I’d end up attacking those who were critical of my child (like Lisa does). One Ute family that does…[Read more]

anyone like me old enough to have wasted hours on electric football. Looking back on it, it really sucked. It was impossible to pass and getting your runner to run the right way was always a challenge.

sweetgrass replied to the topic Best Leach Stories Ever in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
we have hundreds of professional high profile pro and collegiate coaches that keep their political views out of social media (whichever way they lean) and then we have a knucklehead like Leach who didn’t. I don’t care which side any of them support but when you purposely try and deceive people because of your influence, that makes you an…[Read more]

I like that the U has struck a deal to provide scholarships to Ute members, but I think they need to do more. I wouldn’t be opposed to the university giving a small kickback to any drum n’ feather or Ute Proud apparel or merchandise to keep the name and logo in place for as long as possible. I have one U of U decal on my vehicle and its the Ute…[Read more]
