I’d like to think something along these lines is accurate. I’m willing to give him a chance for sure, just caught me a little off guard when I heard that. Between him and carrington, seems like the staff is willing to take a few more chances on guys as of late.

Yikes. If the report is true that he stabbed a teammate in the mouth in front of some recruits that were on a visit, that is pretty messed up. Hopefully his knife wielding days are over. Sounds like the staff is playing with fire a little bit trying to bolster the receiving corps.

Dude, if you liked season 1, you will love season 2! They go way more in depth into the kids lives/backgrounds. They interview family members, coaches, etc. it was super captivating for me.

I just got done watching season 2 of Last Chance U and it was phenomenal! It’s good for many reason other than its football content, but if you’re looking for something to bridge the gap over the next few weeks before football starts I would highly recommend it. Season 1 was just ok for me, but I thought season 2 was amazing! As Utah recruits a…[Read more]

I just finished season 2 of Last Chance U, and it was phenomenal! It’s good for many reasons other than the football content, but if you need something to watch to carry you through the next few weeks before football starts I’d highly reccomend it. Season 1 was just ok for me, but season 2 was amazing. As Utah recruits a lot of JC kids, I thought…[Read more]

  • Thanks for sharing, I had not seen those. I too thought they had hired someone/a team to manage all of their social media. If that person is still in place they have the cushiest job in the world!

  • What;s up with the social media, or lack thereof, coming from the football team this year? There have been very few snaps, periscopes, highlight videos, or even tweets coming from the official accounts. I get wanting to keep things under wraps this year while implementing a new system, but the lack of effort to engage fans on social media this…[Read more]

  • Moving linebackers to d-end is the new “move receiver to corner.” Seriously, the d-line is stacked, the LB core is thin and our best athletes at LB keep getting moved to d-end where they are 3rd-4th on depth chart.

  • I’m pretty sure Davir is full time d-end now. Could be wrong but that’s what I thought I had heard. I would have liked to have seen him and tupai get a shot at LB.

  • Ugh, of course it’s our OL and secondary that have fall camp injuries…

  • Just downloaded it! Nice work, awesome to have the app rather than going through a browser on my phone!

  • Have you watched him play? He’s not on the same level. I agree with a lot of what you said about the other players, but Canada is just not that great. Look up his highlights. He’s a little undersized, and doesn’t do anything real well. He lacks burst, his vision’s not very good, he’s just an average talent. There’s a reason everyone in Provo is…[Read more]

  • That sucks. I thought he would have a chance to stick somewhere. The fact that he is maybe the most physically gifted receiver we’ve seen at Utah in the past 5 years and can’t stick on a team for more than a week says something about the receivers we’ve had come through the program. Actually having a legit prospect like carrington will be fun to…[Read more]

  • a little concerning about lewis and vickers. Anyone know what is going on there? Is there a chance they will be academic casualties?

Both those guys were thought of as guys who could come in and contribute. That would be a little bit of a blow if they’re not able to make it.

  • From what I heard they were limiting practice observation even more this year. I think all the media gets is the last 15 minutes of like 10 practices. The rest are completely closed I think.

I doubt they have anything open to the public.

Makes sense with installing a completely new offense I guess.

I’m guessing a lot of you have seen this already on twitter, but if not it is definitely worth taking 5 minutes to watch!

  • We have a good track record of late additions. Either the coaching staff is good at finding the stragglers that got left behind, or they don’t take them unless they are sure they are good players.

I think Pita T joined the team in fall camp…I’m still baffled why he didn’t redshirt his freshman season.

  • For sure the Oregon game. I felt so confident this year we weren’t going to have another November meltdown. I had a trip lined up with my sister to go stay with some of her friends in the Bay area to go to the title game had they won the South. The O-line was getting better every game, Joe Williams was playing like a P12 POY candidate, Tim Patrick…[Read more]
