I love the model of conference champions from all P5s, highest rated G5, and two at large teams. 

Here is my hope…we finish 12-2, Pac-12 and rose bowl champs and end the season ranked somewhere between 5-8. Yes, I think we will be. CFP ranks teams more off of who they think are the best teams and don’t get as affected by preseason hype and then just a simple win loss record. If you look at our two losses and then the way we are playing now, we are a top 20 team. I think the committee will recognize that. 

Ucla played Washington tough, dominated cal, and just beat Arizona. They’re not s juggernaut, but they have been much better the last month and are gaining confidence. Our boys better show up ready and focused or else we could end up in a close game. 

I’ve seen two voters who didn’t have utah ranked last week but have us at 20 and 22 this week. I think we come in around 22-23. I think we end up inside the top 20 (18-20) in cfp playoff rankings. I would imagine it’s too late for him to enroll anywhere this fall. He won’t be able to enroll until the winter quarter/semesters start in January. He will have to sit out all of next year regardless of where he goes.

I’m not a fan. We saw what happened last time we held the ute proud game against Arizona. This just gives me terrible flashbacks of Kadeem Carey running up and down the field and stomping all over our south title hopes. 

That felt so good. What a weekend! BYU gets blasted by Utah State, I now have to go to one less hour of church each week, and the utes just breathed a whole lot of life back into a season on the brink! 

Vegas keeps showing confidence in the team. Really really hope they can pull it off. 

I think we find out a lot about the squad today. It’s week 5. The offense is what it is st this point. If we struggle today, I think that means struggles the rest of the season and likely a new OC yet again. 
 
I’m excited to see how we play. I think we learn a lot today for better or worse. 

Is Scott Frost a great offensive mind? Or did he inherit a talented team in a terrible conference with a weak schedule and therefore looked like a great mind? UCF’s offense seems to be doing just fine without him…

I agree with all of that except I am less sure about BYU. The narrative is set for them to win this year. Start of the year everyone expected them to be terrible, turns out they’re probably decent. Both these teams are doing something crazy…they are throwing the ball in between the hashes to receivers that are moving…crazy concept. They also throw the ball to receivers that are running down the field vertically. It’s truly remarkable! 

Maybe…the only thing that will make it closer imo is that both teams play pretty slow football. Like last year, it ended up being like 40-6 or something, but could have easily been in the 50’s-60’s if the teams played with pace. I expect something like 35-10. The only way it stays close at all is if there are turnovers. 

Moss good to go? That ankle looked rough Saturday. 

Is that really PK? Apparently I’m in the minority. I really like PK. 

I had the same thought. On the coaches show Whitt said Moss was 1, Shyne 2, and Devin Brumfield a solid 3…no mention of TJ green. Maybe he is banged up and will be out a couple weeks?

Mangum was the elite 11 co-MVP (as if you hadn’t heard that 100x), which is more than Jack did last year. He should be a stark warning to all of us that we need to pump the breaks on Tuttle. It’s fun. It gives people something to talk about in the summer. Pau’u ahead of those guys is insane, and Fotu is way too low. In general I think it’s pretty accurate but you get a few head scratchers for sure.
