We’re screwed man. Logically, BYU should win this game. But everything else that I know about the rivalry tells me that Utah is about to have a couple pick 6’s and 5 turnovers in the first quarter. I’ve seen it time and time again and I won’t believe it will happen otherwise until I see it.

Mine has to be 2006, Beck to Harline. While the game itself was awesome, it was also the last BYU Utah game I got to watch with my brother before he passed away. All I can say is, I don’t think BYU can compete against anyone in the playoffs, and I don’t really care if they can or not. It would be nice obviously, but I’m just not expecting it to happen.

Dang that’s wild that y’all had #1 draft picks in football and basketball in the same year. I knew about each individually but I never put it together in my head that they happened the same year. I can’t remember that happening for blue blood schools let alone a mountain west team

If I’m not mistaken, I’m pretty sure the top 4 seeds are the highest ranked conference champions. So a G5 conference champion can still get a 1st Round Bye if they are ranked higher than a P4 champion.

How are you feeling about the OC change? I have to admit it makes me nervous. I think changing a coach can make a pretty sizable difference at times. Even if the offense is great and just competent, that could be enough to put Utah over the edge against BYU. I still think Utah’s defense is pretty good, even if it’s not as strong as past years.

I’ve seen some projections that have Boise State being the 4 seed and getting the first round bye over the Big 12 champion, whether that be BYU, Colorado, Kansas State, or Iowa State.
