  • I can’t control what you say on a message board, but in order to keep the rivalry about the game, let’s make a bet. If Utah beats BYU on Nov 9, I’ll delete my account. It BYU beats Utah, you delete your account. I feel like that’s more than fair considering Utah has the better team and they have home field advantage.

  • I totally agree with you. BYU fans can sometimes be the worst about bringing religion into the rivalry, and I know I’ve made that mistake before too. Honestly, I’m just tired of the religious jokes from both sides. It’s something we all need to stop doing so we can keep things focused on the game and show respect to each other.

  • Hey man, I know you were trying to be funny, but let’s keep the rivalry focused on sports and avoid bringing in religion or politics. We all cross that line sometimes, but it’s something we can work on. Let’s keep things respectful and not make it personal, so we can enjoy the rivalry and keep it decent.

The nickname came from Jake’s camp. It wasn’t the byu fanbase

  • There are idiots on both sides of the rivalry. Sure, I’ve heard BYU fans who think they’re morally superior to Utah fans, and I’ve heard Utah fans spew bigoted nonsense about BYU fans. But making sweeping generalizations about entire fanbases is just stupid. There are good people on both sides, whether they’re LDS or not. Honestly, it’s getting p…[Read more]

  • I don’t think it’s necessary to frame it as a religious conspiracy. BYU attracts people for various reasons. For me, my parents went to BYU, so I naturally grew up supporting the school.

BYU can be an easier place to attend if you’re LDS, simply because the culture there is more accepting of LDS beliefs, being an LDS school. Since LDS beliefs can…[Read more]

  • The punt return for the TD reminded me of Covey’s punt return before the half against Oregon.

  • Do you think there’s a good chance Jay Hill would move to Utah once Scalley is promoted to head coach? Do you think Scalley would even want him on his staff? I’m assuming that if Kalani is still the head coach and Jay Hill is still the DC, Hill might want to move on to Utah, given his strong ties to the program.

It’s gonna be a long season.

  • Not gonna lie glad I didn’t win it because there was no way I was using it haha

Wish you all good luck this season and hope you enjoy the ride! No matter how the season goes, it’s fun to have a team to root for and have something to look forward to and enjoy in life. This could be the most talented team that y’all have ever put together.

My prediction: 11-1 with a berth to the Big 12 Championship game and a likely spot in…[Read more]

I just read the article myself, and it is pretty clear that the author thinks BYU is gonna lose that game. The author is simply just grasping at straws on how BYU might win that game because the whole point of the article is charting how byu can win every game on their schedule, but he doesn’t actually think they’re gonna win. There’s liter…[Read more]

My account doesn’t have issues, but just wanted to thank you for all the time and energy you put into the site. It’s a really good message board and I appreciate all that you do to keep things running smoothly.

  • You’re absolutely right. I just don’t watch enough Utah football to have an opinion, so I try to stick with what I’ve seen before. Experts certainly think Utah will be good this year, so I’m sure you’re right on.

  • Yeah I tried to incorporate a close game into my prediction. BYU would have been 21 yards away from a one score game late in the 4th. My experience from the last 15 years of the rivalry has been: BYU screws around the first quarter and gives up a big early lead. They then attempt a comeback and it’s usually too little too late.

    And I’m not eve…[Read more]

  • I’ve mentioned this before on this site, but I’m not the same Ted lasso as the one on CB. I don’t have an account on CB and don’t go over there very often.

  • First Quarter: I think BYU comes out the first possession and turns the ball over on the third play and Utah scores quickly on their first possession. Then BYU will go 3-and-out the next possession and Utah will then quickly move the ball down the field again and go up 14-0.

Second Quarter: The teams will go back and forth for a while until Utah…[Read more]

  • To be fair, hiring Kevin Young and bringing in a lot of NBA experience probably played a greater role. A lot of top college basketball programs have money to throw around, so it’s not like these kids chose byu because of money alone. Though money does help to your credit.

  • And this whole time I thought you were a doctor but you were just living in Maryland 😂

  • Honestly brotha there’s a lot of idiots on the internet. When it comes down to it, the majority of fans, no matter what the team, are all decent, good people. I have no doubt that Big 12 teams are going to love Utah fans when they come travel to their stadiums.
