This is a message board brotha and it’s fun to debate about it. That’s what message boards are for. The penalty is just another one of those things in the rivalry that is fun to talk about. If you don’t want to debate it, simply don’t comment on it. But it’s not childish behavior, it’s just a message board.

We’ll never know what could have happened, because your guy held the receiver. I just rewatched the play, it took 3 seconds of game time for the defensive lineman to get to Retzlaff. The WR was held after the first second. Retzlaff had 2 seconds of Gametime to throw the ball, which is plenty of time to throw a ball.

I feel like this has been rehashed over and over again. Go watch the video. When the hold happens, Retzlaff is upright and looking straight at the receiver being held. I don’t know if Retzlaff could have gotten him the ball and we’ll never know, but the hold absolutely affected the play.

Go to the 17 second mark when the hold took place on the video and tell me if Jake Retzlaff is on his ass or not.

But at 2nd and 18, Utah probably has to throw the ball, which they weren’t able to do much of last game. The momentum is also a factor. BYU still likely gets the stop, but we’ll never know.

Well if you look at the replay, there are 2 angles that you can see where Glasker’s hands are on Rose. In both angles, he was close to the helmet, but he was not grabbing the face mask at all. Tbh brotha, as long as BYU notches another digit in the win column, I don’t really care how it came. A win is a win. Utah played a hell of a game last night, and BYU was lucky to get out of there.
