Same here. Streaming through the app. No sound on the normal stream. Had to move to their “command center” view

I think this has become an even bigger issue this year. With so many teams with really similar resumes this year I’ve seen a lot more relevance given to “wins against teams >.500” “wins against power 5 teams >.500” and “wins against teams with more than x wins” all of these are heavily skewed when 75% of our games are against teams that will face each other instead of 67%. Maybe the biggest culprit is “win % of power 5 teams you’ve faced.” The more intraconference games you play the closer that number is to 500 with almost no regard to anything else.

I agree with attendance overall being low due to lack of big names/games. Plus all of the games have been pretty dominant for the U so there’s less urgency/need for the fans/students to really get into it. Every year it seems someone complains about how the MUSS isn’t as loud and crazy in the past and every year I have to disagree. I’ve been in the MUSS since 2010 and the students are just as into as they have been every year. Weather lowers attendance, especially when we’re blowing teams out but there’s been no discernible drop off in student enthusiasm that I’ve seen for a decade now. The thing we’ve missed this year that we’ve had in the past is those crazy back and forth games where the fans feel like the 12th man. 2010 Pitt, 2013 Stanford, 2016 USC all come to mind. The team is so dominant at home this year it’s almost been unneeded.
I really can’t wait for the stadium to be closed off. I think the MUSS is going to benefit the most from the new echo chamber the most. Visiting teams won’t want to be near either end zone as the NEZ and MUSS both bring it for every drive

We were all so excited about him when he was recruited. I’m sorry it had to come this way but it was nice to see what he’s capable of in a real game situation. He’s great for this system and could be a real asset in the future. Especially with a decent quarterbacks coach

      Expand The College Football Playoff

538 looked at AP voting for the last 20 years. They found that AP voters would put an undefeated group of 5 champion into an 8 team playoff about 50% of the time. While not a perfect analysis and AP voting is far from perfect I think it shows that there are many people that believe undefeated group of five champions deserve a shot in the playoff.

      Mitchell’s scoring line: 21/47 (44.7%) 3/14 from three (21.4%) 18/33 everywhere else (54.5%) and 10/11 from the charity stripe (90.9%)
      MJ: 16/38 (42.1%) 1/5 from three (20.0%) 15/35 elsewhere (42.9) and 20/22 from the line (90.9%)
Mitchell shot better from everywhere on the floor except free throws where they were exactly even. MJ got to the line more and Mitchell made more shots for their point lines to be almost exactly even in terms of per possession which is probably more important than per shot.
Is Mitchell better than MJ? No. But he’s played two incredible games as a rookie that compare to MJ and might even be more impressive than Michael’s first two playoff games in terms of scoring (and certainly in terms of winning)

The entire jazz team has a total of 2 all star appearances. One each for Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Both last year. That number may jump by 2 or 3 this year but as of right now the jazz are playing beautiful team basketball without a team of all stars. It’s objectively fun to watch even if you don’t like the jazz. There’s little iso, almost no foul baiting, good passes to get good shots, and excellent team defense. I would be absolutely thrilled if the runnin utes played a similar brand of basketball

I don’t think so. From the article you linked it says “Each game that involves one or two teams with territory results in the winner claiming all of it” so the winner of the game on Friday claims all of our land.
First week games make no difference. Hence Purdue took Ohio State’s land even though they lost their season opener to Northwestern.

Thoughts on Chase Hansen making it to the NFL? I thought he looked great last night
