How could we expect Utah to figure out how to maximize offensive talent? After all we are a cold weather school and used to be a member of a non Power 5 conference so there is no way we could ever be expected to be an elite program or develop into a contender. We are a middle of the road program who happens to place a lot of talent into the NFL.

He certainly could help the QBs and would be a good addition to any campus frat party.

Except TCU has not had many 3* and above recruits. Utah has put more players in the NFL than TCU over past 7 years. We have the talent. Something else is missing. Unfortunately probably more likely that October slides right into November. Oh well wont have to plan my 2 week December vacation around a trash bowl game.

If I had 10 dollars for every time a Ute fan says wait until next year or this is a rebuilding year… The team isn’t going anywhere. 7th season in the south and we wont even sniff a chance for the title this year. Why do we think we will challenge next year? Something isn’t right with the program. Never has a dude been more wide open. TW totally loses his mind when he scrambles. Not a good Division 1 QB. As his attempts go to infinity his completion percentage converges to 50%

From a probability perspective absolutely the right call. I question the play call though with a QB that goes brain dead when flushed from the pocket. Seems like some sort of misdirection and flip to moss going the opposite direction would have been the play. Oh well, another season, another no South Division title. We just aren’t that good.

TW has a pretty deep ball when he has time to set up and isnt flushed from pocket but let’s face it any QB worth his salt sees the receiver wide open during the 2 point conversion attempt. So this is the 7th season in the PAC 12 and have yet to win the south with late season collapses the norm. No guarantee we will see a south title in our lifetimes. I would be happy for a change in direction and a new coaching staff next year. Every coach has a shelf life and I think a new direction might be a good thing.
