The lack of breaking through in the Pac 12 after 6 full seasons is as much on Hill as anyone. He would be lauded if they had won a division title so why shouldn’t he take some of the blame now.

I don’t think the officiating explains the failures this year. I would blame lack of offensive innovation vs. officiating. Even a mediocre red zone performance would have had us with at most 1 loss this season.

Watch what a sharp young offensive mind does in Texas next year in terms of a turn around with the talent that went 5 and 7 this year. Couldn’t agree more. Plus his decision making on the fly is non existent. Case in point:
– throwing the ball away on a 2 point conversion instead of just throwing up for grabs to give your guys a chance? WTF?
– Literally freezing in place on a zone option read instead of making a sharp decision

How many years without a single division win before we should want the whole thing blown up? The sample size is growing and at some point we are what we are… Slightly above average for a Power 5 school and that’s it.

I think we will feel better if we just admit we are a mediocre program and accept it. We are not progressing towards anything and in fact were closer to winning a division title in our first year in Pac 12. In reading through the reasons we don’t get it done there seems to be a bit of Uncle Rico syndrome: “If coach would have put me in we would have won state”. Sugar Bowl win over Bama.. Hands down IMO especially with Alabama’s success this decade. Was arguably there worst beat down in the Saban era.

Good points but disagree with #2 to some degree. 6 full seasons in Pac 12 South and I think if Colorado wins Saturday everyone other than Utah will have played in the Championship game.
