Probably a good call. Having a young team at some key positions coupled with Whitt not being able to take a team with 16 NFL caliber players last year to the South division title didn’t give Vegas much reason to think the team would be “coached up”. Smart guys in Vegas

Totally agree with ragtownute! Whitt seems to be beyond reproach for many Ute fans. It’s his program – he owns the record.

Most Ute fans are in denial. Whitt is about as bad at in-game management as my pro team coach Jason F’n Garrett. They both suck at it

If we start losing recruits wholesale then its time for an organizational change before it spirals. Until we win the conference I will never get over a team that placed 16 guys not winning the division.

As someone who didn’t watch hardly any Ute basketball last year, why didn’t I hear that much of Kyle Kuzma? Was it the style of offense? He should have been player of the year based on what he is doing in NBA.

Utah has any recruiting restrictions? They accept 76 percent of all general applicants the last figure I saw. Stanford acceptance rate at large is 4.6 percent. Utah is not an academically tough place to recruit IF that is what someone was suggesting.

Biggest surprise – that we cant seem to get all the various units on this team to play well at same time.

Bigger surprise – that many expect next year to be better. Our best season was arguably the first season in the Pac 12. Looked so promising.

Yah using this Utes forum board to vent during a bad season and get stoked during high flying times is being a troll. Excuse my disappointment and evidently misplaced optimism when we joined the Pac 12. Evidently I should have had lower expectations.

Williams inability to hit the wide open receiver on the 2 point conversion at USC was a benchable offense. He is so single minded that once he tucked the ball he couldn’t process the fact that a guy was wide open.

Texas in the Texas Bowl would be my pick both from the standpoint Texas will likely be a pretty good team next year and they have some name recognition but mostly because I can attend in my own backyard and proudly wear my Ute gear.
