Losing to Oregon St permanently pushed us off the bubble.

The committee would absolutely take Cal and USC over Utah, but Cal and USC are currently in Lunardi’s Last Four In in the latest bracketology, so both are on thin ice.

It’s always a nice accomplishment to beat a team ranked #1, I remember well us beating #1 Alabama in the Huntsman in 2002. That being said this changes nothing for them, they were headed to the NIT before the game, barring an unlikely WCC conference tournament championship that’s where they’ll end up.

I keep hearing about the “Sitake Effect” on recruiting, but this year’s class, ranked #63 by Rivals, which Sitake had 14 months to prepare for, was no better ranking wise than the last decade of classes under Bronco. They already have 8 commits for 2018, it’s looking like more of the same.

The Jazz would take that trade in a second.

Portland has made Lillard the face of their franchise, not to mention it looks like he’s going to be a superstar for the next decade plus. They’d need more than Favors/Exum/Hood to part with him.

I’m guessing PVD starting was part of some sort of disciplinary action for Bonam for the Oregon game, late for a meeting, lazy practice, etc. Bonam has started every game this season, also he came in for PVD about three minutes into the game. She was a lazy hack who repeatedly tried to manufacture drama where there was none. She had no business covering football and basketball for a PAC 12 school.

Yep, we’re in the driver’s seat for fourth in the PAC, which would be huge. We absolutely do not want to finish fifth, and play Oregon St in the first round. The last time we played them our RPI dropped 16 points, even with the W. Also finishing fourth would give us an opponent, either USC or Cal, playing for the second night in a row.
