Yep, we’re in the driver’s seat for fourth in the PAC, which would be huge. We absolutely do not want to finish fifth, and play Oregon St in the first round. The last time we played them our RPI dropped 16 points, even with the W. Also finishing fourth would give us an opponent, either USC or Cal, playing for the second night in a row.

I doubt we see suites on top of the bleachers due to the new jumbotron.

The SEZ is a WAC relic and will have to be replaced sooner rather than later, it’s not a question of if the U wants to replace it, it will happen.
This was a while ago, but what I heard was the frontrunner as far as plan options were concerned would completely demolish the SEZ, put in bleacher seats that would mirror the NEZ (this would have to…[Read more]

The endzone seats are the cheapest in the stadium. They won’t be empty.

That’s why I cringe when Kuz makes a three, it’s nice but it only encourages him.

TheJuggernaut replied to the topic Thoughts on the Stanford game and this team after a day of cooling off. in the forum Basketball (Men) 7 years, 9 months ago
We’ll need at least one, maybe two, wins over Az/Oregon/UCLA just to get back on the NCAA bubble. We can’t even beat those teams at home, why would we expect Ws over them in Eugene or Vegas?
Beating the remaining bottom feeders on our schedule, Cal at home, then another bottom feeder in the PAC tournament isn’t going to get us an NCAA at large bid.

Cal is what happens when you dump your coach three weeks before NLI day.

TheJuggernaut replied to the topic What are the odds Bateman is the starting QB come Portland State? in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
I don’t doubt it, and I’d be ecstatic if he came in, won the job, and led us to a South championship.
Winning the starting job at Alabama didn’t really work out for him, or Alabama. Hopefully we’ll see different results this time around.

“Won the starting job at Alabama” I guess is technically true.
Bateman started ONE game in his Alabama career, and had to be pulled after leading the Tide to a 30-10 deficit against Mississippi. Jake Coker came in and led a comeback that fell short, with Alabama losing 43-37.
Yeah, Bateman won the starting job at Alabama. He got his one start,…[Read more]

Yep, if it plays out like that our losses would all (minus SF) be to great/really good teams. I was torn last night watching USC-UW, I wanted USC to lose to get them further out of the race for fourth place, but they’re by far our best win to date, so them winning is good for us.

This team has just about exceeded my expectations for the season (18-20 wins, NIT). I’ve been most impressed with the way this team has played on the road, our only road losses are Xavier (shorthanded – no Barefield or Collete) and Arizona, and we were competitive in both. I believe this team is tough enough mentally to get wins at Cal, Stanford,…[Read more]
