Come on, you’re smarter than that, “possibly ending up 11 or 12 in the PAC 12”? Yes, technically Utah is probably going to finish 12th in the PAC12 in recruiting, ONLY because Utah has a small class, and is only going to sign 12 or 13 commits. That’s why.
Not that you care, because it doesn’t go along with your ‘Whit can’t recruit’ narrative, but…[Read more] -
TheJuggernaut replied to the topic I don't much like PK's style in the forum Football 5 years, 9 months ago
His schtick has worked in the Salt Lake market for 25 years. I personally don’t like DJ and PK, I’ll listen occasionally, maybe after the Utes do something noteworthy, but normally I don’t pay them any attention. But there are plenty of people who do listen, to keep those two employed for this long.

PVD had a couple of really nice drives to the basket, with contested finishes, in the Stanford game. One of those drives was with one minute left that gave us a two point lead.

Agree, I’ve wondered how much of Daniels and Chapman leaving was their “bad attitudes” and how much was Larry’s personality and approach.

Chapman was a problem child and Ogbe couldn’t stay healthy.

TheJuggernaut replied to the topic Men’s Basketball Transfers in the forum Basketball (Men) 5 years, 9 months ago
It’s a bunch of hand wringing over nothing. The only players who have transferred out under Larry K that actually could have helped us win games are Daniels (documented problem child), Brekott Chapman (also problem child), Mawien (never played a minute for the Utes), and Vante Hendrix, who left due to personal reasons (someone more in the know…[Read more]

TheJuggernaut replied to the topic Pac-12 with only two teams in latest Lunardi list, ASU in 'Last Four In' in the forum Pac-12 5 years, 10 months ago
It’s starting to look like if Washington or Arizona wins the conference tourney the PAC gets two, if someone else gets hot and wins the autobid the PAC gets three in.
I predict Oregon St will be a high seed in the NIT.

SOS of 203 (worst in the PAC by a long ways) is why they’re not ranked.

As far as at larges Arizona and Washington are on track, ASU and UCLA are on the fringe, Oregon St no way. Oregon St currently has the second worst SOS in the PAC, only Wazzou has played a worse schedule. The selection committee has shown in the past that playing a weak OOC schedule and piling up wins is not a recipe for an at large.
The PAC is…[Read more]

From his bio
Ludwig’s Wisconsin offenses were led by running back Melvin Gordon, a 2014 Heisman Trophy finalist and consensus first-team All-America. Gordon rushed for 2,587 yards in 2014, establishing the second highest single-season rushing total in NCAA FBS history. Gordon capped the season with a 251-yard performance in Wisconsin’s 34-31…

If our wideouts could hang on to the ball we’d be going to the Rose Bowl.

Or, we’ll have an opening when Gary goes back to Utah St. Urb can come coach special teams.

Urban would never go anywhere where he had to play Whit every year.

Sark spent more time at Port O Call than he did in Provo. He used to trade autographed paraphernalia to clear his tab.

Northwestern’s D is nowhere near the same level as Washington’s.
Scoreboard is what matters – Washington #5 scoring D, Northwestern #40.

We’re over two scholarships for next year, so unless Hendrix comes back nobody else will have to go.

Yep, Mariner sat on the bench alone after the game with his head in his hands. Agree it was fun, I’d go again next year if we win the South again (I think we will).
