It’s not that we haven’t discovered it. It’s that we literally haven’t been able to talk s**t for a decade.
Seriously? What are BYU fans honestly supposed to say? This rivalry is dead. As is the football program. Holmoe killed us in 2011 by botching Big12 negotiations. It’s over.

You’re a smart guy Tony. Sure it’s meaningful. BYU didn’t play a PAC schedule, but it wasn’t a Sunbelt schedule either. Kaufusi is a top 3 rounder.

What you guys don’t understand is that outside of your bubble nobody cares about Utah football. Wazzu is a much more appealing and entertaining program to the rest of the country. I hop this sinks in. It’s time for you all to get off your high horse. You aren’t as great as you think you are. The reality is that BYU and Utah are pretty comparable programs.

Agree with the OP. Utehub is a good site. Much better than the cesspool that is Utefans.net.
Thoughts from a BYU fan…Whittingham, for some reason that is inexplicable to me, insists on running some weird variation of the spread with some elements of a between the tackles power running game thrown in. Whittingham has proven for the last decade he can’t attract QB’s or coaches talented enough to run the system he wants to run. He is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
Utah is successful on defense because of size, physicality, and discipline. Why not have the same philosophy on O? Why Utah doesn’t implement a Stanford-esqe running game is baffling to me. Utah can recruit monsters on the line of scrimmage and have been successful for years pulling RB’s out of JC’s. They have zero ability to recruit talented QB’s. It seems so obvious to me.
But it won’t change as long as Whitt is around. And I am grateful. Watching Ute offensive futility is pretty entertaining. Next year is going to be a circus.

Wait, the last four QB’s lost to Utah? I remember two. Nelson and Hill. Hill was great, Nelson was a bum. The two guys before that, Hall and Beck had three wins. Mangum is already as good as Hall was his sophmore year. Mangum will be one of the better QB’s you have faced. Unfortunately for you guys you have to deal with him 4 times.
Your comment on the pass rush was…uninformed. Bronson Kaufusi has 11 sacks. The BYU has 37 on the year, tied for 6th nationally. Utah sits down the list at 20. BYU has 15 int’s on the year, only 4 fewer than Utah. You are living in the past. This BYU D is different. Run D is our weakness. Fortunately for us, we won’t see Booker and your backup is banged up.

“We will be competitive again.” ?? And you aren’t competitive now?

Tony, you did get that great QB recruit. His name is Travis Wilson. Offers from half the PAC 10, elite 11 kid, big time measurables, good speed. He just wasn’t developed because of Utahs ridiculous revolving OC and QB coach mess.

Ah come on Moose. Yardage wise Utah was very competitive in that game. The game was statistically very close if not for the turnovers. You weren’t anywhere near as bad as the final score indicated, and I still think Utah is the best or second best team in the PAC. You still have a great shot at a NY6 bowl.
I’ll come clean. I am a BYU guy, but I like Utehub because the conversation is civil and you guys actually talk about football here. As a BYU an, your game against USC reminded me of a lot of some of the recent rivalry games. Statistically close in terms of total yardage gained, but ugly turnovers and self destruction make the final score look a lot worse than the game really was. You still have a solid team, maybe the best in the history of your program.
