Vintage Craig Smith…opposing team makes adjustments at halftime and Utah doesn’t…also, and this is an issue since Larry K times, opponents go on a full-court press and the offense goes to hell in a handbasket. Nothing bothers me more than possessions where you can’t even get a shot off…and Utah had too many of those, plus missing easy shots…[Read more]

Double-digit lead over a team that’s been to the NCAAs the past two seasons, playing away, and with Gabe Madsen being ice cold, not too shabby…

Well, all you have to do is look at where Kiel McDonald is today to know he was a massive plus for Utah. I agree that if Utah had had a healthy JJ this entire season it would have made a discernable difference.

I’m afraid that unless Whitt changes his offensive philosophy, who the OC is won’t really matter.

I would even submit that 2023 would have been the rebuilding year and we would have reloaded before the start of this season. But you know, people, like water, prefer the path of least resistance.

I’ve often wondered on this site where Utah would be today if Cam Rising and Brant Kuithe had both played their last downs for Utah during the 2022 season. Whitt thought that he was stealing a march on the competition by sticking with them but it’s gone horribly wrong.

The arrogance around the Buffs is humility personified compared to the knob-slobbering administered by FOX…but, as I said pride goeth before the fall…the Buffs are being built up for ratings until they can get massacred by a P2 program, if and when they make it to the CFP.

Well, it’s much worse if you have tickets and are at RES for a night game…a 5:30 start time is much better in that respect.

Colorado is losing to Kansas next week and I have ASU beating both BYU and Zona in its last two games. ISU has Utah and KSU for their last two games. It’s possible that they lose at least one of those games, in which case they would be eliminated from the CCG. You know what, it might come down to a tie-breaker between BYU and Colorado for the…[Read more]

tOSU takes down Oregon without breaking a sweat if that game is played on a neutral site or at the Horseshoe. Oregon, so far this season, has won three games by a combined seven points. They also beat FCS Idaho, at home, by just 10 points. They are the B1G’s BYU doppelganger. Big rivalry game for them in a couple of weeks when they play Washington.

Oh, oh, oh…that’s another thing that caught my eye. Holy shit, it looked like Colorado’s OL was holding on every play that was put on the highlights. I mean, having a fistful of jersey and all of that ilk…I guess holding really happens on every play but it isn’t called because pretty soon referees wouldn’t have a job.

I didn’t watch the game but I did watch the extended highlights earlier this morning. Two things caught my eye and ear. One was poor tackling by the Utes’ defense and the other was Gus Johnson gushing over Deion Sanders, Shedeur, Henry, the whole Buffs’ circus, etc…I’ll also agree with you and comment that Colorado’s success has nothing to do…[Read more]
