If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. That’s Ludwig’s playbook.

You’ll love it Sal. Utah is full of young talent. I predict that they’ll be a playoff team this year and you never know after that.

In MSG…Clubbers are up 5-3 late in the 2nd Period with Dylan Guenther scoring his NHL leading fifth goal of the season. It’s on Channel 16 for those in the SLC area. Must watch tv…

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Is Hill top contender for DC if KW retires and Scalley is named HC? in the forum Football 1 month ago
He will be the HC somewhere after this season. Book it. USU is a likely candidate but it wouldn’t surprise me if some other schools come looking for him.

Exactly. I’m guessing that a few people posting here are not cognizant of interpersonal group dynamics. There’s no way that a guy like Hill, who’s obviously higher on the coaching pecking list than Scalley, would come to Utah to work for a rookie head coach.

Larry, you’re not wrong. Many people have said the same thing when we saw the shape Rising was in last night. There’s literally no upside to playing Rising at the moment. All you’re doing is taking away from Isaac’s development.

Nothing worse than seeing a physically hobbled athlete going against other athletes that are healthy.

Over Shah you think?

There’s no reason that Scalley should get the job over Hill under normal circumstances. You’d think that the school would want to get the best candidate for the job rather than be shackled to a specific candidate. This especially over such a long period.

You know what’s really dumb, someone saying “that’s a really dumb take” and that’s it.

Again, just my view, but saying that Jay Hill would be interested in the Utah DC job is totally wishful thinking. The other thing is that even if Hill took the DC job under Scalley, I would label him an immediate flight risk. This is because if he continued to have success, combined with his resume, there’s no chance that some team wouldn’t come…[Read more]

That’s exactly who I’m thinking will take over the DC spot if Scalley gets promoted. Good recruiter, proven results as a DB coach, to me all signs point to him.

At least with Lincoln Riley at the helm. The Trojans just lost to Penn State 30-27 in OT. They’re now 3-3 for the season, with more losses on the way, and out of the running for the CFPs.

1. Would Jay Hill, who’s older than Scalley, and has already been an HC for almost a decade want to work for a first-year HC? Hard to say but I know I wouldn’t.
2. Scalley has been the Utah DC for nine seasons and his salary has slowly been raised to its current amount. Hard to believe, at least from where I’m standing, that Utah immediately…[Read more] -

Yeah, too bad you brought it up. BYU is most definitely having its way with a Wildcat team that handled Utah pretty easily. Still have to play the game though…

Jay Hill wants to be an HC again. Jay Hill is not leaving a better BYU program and making a lateral move to a worse Utah program. Jay Hill will only come to Utah if he’s hired as the head coach. Simple as all that.

It’s almost like he’s a one-trick pony, and once that trick no longer works, he doesn’t know what to do or where to go. In addition, when Whitt says “We’ve been outcoached two weeks in a row” that, to me, is an inflammatory damning statement. You just got outcoached by a first year P4 coach and a guy that’s younger than some of the t-shirts in…[Read more]

Utah vs. Arizona State | Postgame Press Conference
Hate to say it, but Whitt looks like an old, exhausted guy without answers. It’s almost as if the last two seasons have aged him 10 years.
