Why is it irrelevant? Because you say so? Wouldn’t it be more fair to say that Utah is 6-6 versus ASU since the two teams have been in the same conference?

The big tip-off or downer, take your pick, to me in that game was the way that Arizona continually blitzed Isaac time after time without Utah adjusting. You’d think that somehow Ludwig would adjust and make them pay but it never happened.

Are we becoming Ohio State or Alabama.
If we’re not, we need to.

Listen, a guy that is now 25 plus and in his seventh college season is still a Ute because: A. NIL money. Where else is he going to get $1M+ in salary? Not the NFL as a 3rd string rookie QB. B. The possibility to raise his stock and possibly (admittedly a longshot) make it to the NFL. and C. Grab some glory and leave Utah as the best QB…[Read more]

That whole attitude of naming someone “starting QB for life” is just so counterproductive… especially when you’re talking about someone that’s suffered so many injuries in his college career.

Start with a new head coach. I don’t dislike Smith as a person, but I just don’t think that he has what it takes to get Utah to being a consistent basketball power. In basketball, it starts and ends with recruiting. Unlike football, with just 2-3 outstanding recruits, you can turn around a program really quick. Just look at what Sprinkle did…[Read more]

Should we be worried? I think so…other than the current four-game winning streak that Utah is on versus ASU, the Sun Devils have historically owned the Utes in football, both home and away. I mean, I remember when I used to hate them almost as much as USC. They’re also looking at Utah from the moral high ground after that 55-3 pasting we gave…[Read more]

Eagle, it wouldn’t surprise me if it comes down to that. They’re just a middle-man at this point. You’d think all of the bluebloods would get together and cut them completely out of the picture. I can’t see what the NCAA could do about it.

Without a healthy Cam running the offense, well, you’re not wrong. And another thing, if such an event comes to pass, I predict that the Utes’ contingent of traveling fans will be severely diminished. I was talking to a few people at the Las Vegas Bowl last year and there was some sincere heartburn about the cost of traveling, even to a nearby…[Read more]

You’re on it Rick…my actual season tickets are not restricted view but I had restricted view seats for this game since the Bhawks are not part of my package. My biggest peeve is that I could never see the clock for the time remaining in penalties. That drove me crazy during the game. I can also say that while a restricted view might be fine…[Read more]

Thanks Sal, I appreciate your comments. At the very least, it’ll give me the opportunity to get close to the great man himself.

This, I guess:
Under the new rules, transfer athletes will be allowed to sign with a new school after they’ve formally entered the portal. Per the NCAA, once a prospect has signed a written offer of athletic aid, other schools will be “prohibited from recruiting communications.

Jim, even though Ryan Smith is a BYU guy, the SEG does things right. Last night, every seat in the arena had a rally scarf and a commemorative t-shirt draped over it (free of charge) and, after the game, every fan got a commemorative hockey puck. I bought 12 game season ticket pack, primarily to watch East Coast teams, but I’ll definitely root…[Read more]

I was there! Great atmosphere. You can’t beat hockey if you like constant action. Once the area gets refurbished, it’ll be a great place to watch the Clubbers.

Rocky Long was New Mexico’s version of Whitt. Not only did he have pretty good success with the Lobos, but he also took San Diego State to a bowl in all nine seasons he was the coach there. Interestingly enough, The Lobos did the same thing in 2005 when they visited RES, so I’m not certain if New Mexico was Whitt’s kryptonite.

Whatever gets you the most money, Tony. I personally would support a method that allows me to pay via credit card, since that’s how I track all of my expenses.
