Tuttle would have been another JJ, or Nate Johnson, or Peter Costelli with the Utes…never would have seen a play at QB…

He might a bust in football but I think that he’s worked the system to have a couple of advanced degrees by the time he hangs it up. Not too shabby…

Hey, on another note, I’m watching the game on the channel that uses the Geico Skycast. There’s no play by play but it feels kind of like you’re in the stadium and the camera angles are great because the camera is just above the huddle.

Losing JJ was a massive blow, that’s for sure. He was legitimately a threat to take it to the house on any play. If he ever works though his injury issues, I definitely see him playing on Sundays.

Florida might lose to UCF…and Baylor is currently beating undefeated Iowa State up in Ames.

Likeliest remaining game for a big upset. JJ is looking good so far…

You think so? I mean, we didn’t blow them out and they made it a very close game at the end of the game. Personally, I just think that they’re not very good and overrated.

Bad, bad loss for Bama…it wouldn’t surprise me if they picked up one or two more the rest of the season…they conceivably could have lost to GA last weekend and essentially be close to being out of the SEC race already.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic go vandy…? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
Great game…been watching the entire second half…betcha Bama didn’t see that coming…but, if Bama loses, the SEC acolytes will just use it as an example of how tough their conference is…this even though Vandy already has a loss this year to G5 Georgia State, a 2-2 Sunbelt Conference team…

Well, Cam has been loyal because he’s been getting paid quite handsomely. If he wasn’t, he would have jetted to Florida after the first Rose Bowl. It’s a two way street you know…

Oh, I totally agree that the season is not over yet. We’ll just have to see how the rest of the games play out. Hopefully Rising is under center next Friday night.

Well, as I said, given Utah’s current circumstances, you’re not wrong. It just takes turning on the TV and watching more than one team.

Also, Utah destroyed ASU last season 55-3 at RES and have beaten the Sun Devils quite handily the last four times they’ve played them. So, I think ASU is going to be extremely motivated to play Utah, and, historically, visits to Tempe don’t normally fare well for Utah. Utah is 5-15 all-time in Tempe. Make of that what you will.

I can’t begin to explain to you how worried I am about that game. Dillingham has something cooking down in Tempe. It kind of reminds me of the feeling I had last season before we went down to Tucson to play Zona. Hopefully, Cam is back for that game and stays healthy for the rest of the season.

Jim, at the end of the day, in business and in life, you’re judged on your results. If this season ends up as bad, or worse, than 2023, then sticking with Rising after the Jan 2023 Rose Bowl will have been proved to have been the wrong decision. We can play if/that and shoulda/woulda all day long, but that doesn’t feed the bulldog. The only…[Read more]

Where’s the overreaction? You think UTah, given its current circumstances, would be up 23-14 on Bama at halftime? Everyone of those teams that he mentioned have been killing it or, at least, looking better than Utah without Rising.

You know, I hope I’m wrong about this, but as I was driving home from last Saturday night’s game, the feeling that I had was that Utah got found out. Once again we were in the Top 10 and once again we were playing in front of a national audience and once again we crapped the bed. This is just me, and I could obviously be completely wrong, but I…[Read more]

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Whittingham and Cam – ENOUGH ALREADY in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
There’s a lot of historical revisionism going on here with this issue. Whitt played mind games all of last season having Cam take up 1st team reps and calling his participation a game-time decision until November rolled around. I know I will be downvoted for this, but I’ve never seen a QB room as badly managed in 50 years of being a football fan…[Read more]

Oklahoma State might end up being one of the worst teams in the Big XII this season, kinda/sorta like Baylor last year, which was predicted to contend for the conference title and stepped into an elevator shaft. The Mountaineers are curb stomping the Cowboys in Stillwater as we speak, up 31-7 at halftime.

So I guess Utah is shit out of luck winning anything once Rising leaves? That’s flawed logic for the simple reason that the past doesn’t always predict the future. In addition, this version of Rising is not the same version that won those two CCGs.
