Yeah, I was talking to another fan at the game on Saturday and we were laughing about the fact that when Cam started his college career, Isaac was in 5th Grade.

Actually, it looks more like Toll citing certain elements of the Utah fanbase.

Jim, I respect your opinion but I deal in facts and results and not in shouldas/couldas…yes, Cam has proven to be a Conference winning QB. However, if memory serves me correctly, the last time he played a full game was almost two years ago. If you’re of the idea that because he was great in the past, he’ll be great in the present and future,…[Read more]

All I can say is this, I can’t think of any legitimate program in the nation that would be almost two years (and running) in a situation like what Utah has had with Rising. It’s already gone beyond meme status and closing quickly on farcical territory. I mean, and I say this jokingly, does Cam have some mighty incriminating stuff on Whitt? I…[Read more]

He’s nothing of the sort. He worships at the altar of Baylor.

Yet funnily enough, he’s only verbalizing what a lot of people have posted on this site. Yeah, I don’t like him either but even a broken clock is right twice a day…

No kidding? I thought Cole was from the Atlanta area.

I’m not sure how you can say that Whitt hasn’t hit his ceiling. He’ll be 65 in November and has been the head coach at Utah for two decades. How much more of a sample size do you need? I’m not advocating for his dismissal, but I have little faith that Whitt can lead Utah to the CFP. In fact, given results from the last decade, I have little…[Read more]

You think Rose knows the playbook three years into the program? Wasn’t that the reason he didn’t get any playing time last season, at least according to Whitt?

I gave them an “F”. Utah once again failed when it mattered most in front of a national audience. They made questionable decisions of offense, failed to execute necessary in-game adjustments. and got thoroughly outcoached on both sides of the ball. Whitt probably had to drink a six-pack of Michelob before going to sleep this morning.

You can get by if that’s all you want to do…but you’re never going to really win anything.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Well, Things Could be Worse in the forum Football 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Absolutely…it basically means that Utah, and the rest of its Big XII compatriots, have zero chance of ever winning a national title.

We could be Florida State, who’s now 1-4 after getting their doors blown off last night in Dallas by SMU. In case you weren’t keeping score, FSU’s roster has a blue chip ratio (BCR) of 50 percent (that’s the percentage of a roster that’s composed of players that are four and five-star recruits). Ohio State is the leader with a 90 percent…[Read more]

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Adjustments, or not in the forum Football 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I was getting flashbacks to the Florida game to open the 2022 season. In that game, Utah had six trips into the RedZone and only got 13 points. Florida, on the other hand, only had three trips into the RedZone and cashed in for 22 points. Whitt will never change…just recently I was reading some articles dating back to 2006, 2007, 2012, and…[Read more]

Well, you’re not wrong. The situation is counter-intuitive to a lot of people.

Our punt returns STINK this season. Very seldom do we seem to make positive yardage.
I’ve been saying the same thing since the second game. A traffic cone could do a better job than Pittman. At least you wouldn’t have to worry about losing yards on a return.

Even with Cam coming back, I wouldn’t be launching any celebratory rockets in the air. In those two Rose Bowl seasonsh Cam at his peak, Utah lost a combined seven games, with five coming during the regular season. From what I’ve seen of this team, and the competition, a 9-3 record with Cam looks to be the ceiling. Suddenly, those games versus…[Read more]

Unless Rising gets back on the field, this could be a historically bad season for Utah given the expectations before the season started. I’m just of the mind that you can’t win consistently with a true freshman QB playing extended minutes.
