I like your thinking. What can be more Utah/SLC than Wasatch?

Nothing against your wrap but I’m looking forward to seeing the unique Ms. Dabritz back again soon when you respond.

Smelly wasn’t even on scholarship. Wasn’t he a preferred walk-on last year?

I don’t know about this. I read that Miami is targeting Badger to upgrade its WR corps.

It’s subscriber only so I’m posting the entire article below for those interested in reading it:
Pac-12 financial projections: Move into Big 12 will lower, not eliminate campus subsidies for Four Corners schools
Arizona, ASU, Colorado and Utah will see conference revenues climb, but not enough
The penultimate year in the Pac-12 was not a…

I’ve seen a logo design for the Blizzard name that also incorporates a moose motif. I can sign on to that. Here’s a Reddit page that has some, I think, additional pretty cool logo designs for a future Utah NHL team:

The Arizona Outlaws played in the United States Football League in 1985. They were originally the Oklahoma Outlaws when they were established in 1984. Only existed for two seasons.

If you’re going to go there, why not call the team the “Wild Bunch?”

Don’t forget to mention the textbook scam associated with all courses or degrees. I wonder where all of that money is going to?

About a year ago, this dude created a video about an event he never thought would happen, the move of the Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City. In the video he shares some team designs for the NHL SLC team:

Here’s a tell for you Utah hockey fans. The Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) has put in for copyright six team names. Those names are Utah Fury, Utah Yeti, Utah Blizzard, Utah Venom, Utah HC, and Utah Hockey Club. If I was a betting man, I would guess that the eventual team name is going to come out from one of those first four labels. My…[Read more]

Disappointing…extremely rare to see the Red Rocks lose the overall lead with just one rotation to go.

Exactly. If you were to look at how much the cost of a college education has risen over the decades, it goes right in line with the amounts borrowed by students. It’s simple economics…when there’s a lot of “free” money being bandied about, well that’s a surefire recipe for inflation. Now, combine that with people going to school for degrees…[Read more]

Thanks for the information…I didn’t think that Utah was providing so much assistance but it’s shocking to see the costs that other schools are bearing.

The difference is that Duke is a basketball blue blood and will easily replace those transfers with players as good or better. Utah doesn’t have that luxury and just lost its best player with any eligibility remaining. I don’t personally feel too bad about Smith’s departure since I never got attached to him but he will be missed.

College sports is turning into such a sick joke…this will be Smith’s fourth school in five years. I don’t have a problem with athletes transferring like any other student can but what “student” trying to get any degree goes to four name universities in five years? As in all things, when the guardrails are taken off, the extremes gain the…[Read more]

I’m not disagreeing with you on the method but just pointing out the fact that the program isn’t truly self funding and students have zero recourse to opt out on those student fees. Think about it…you could be a 45 year old doctoral student from Madagascar and still have to pay fees supporting sports you don’t follow or even understand. All…[Read more]
