Wow, that’s incredible…it’ll be a total sellout considering that the arena will be reconfigured for hockey.

If he were to go, we’d be the last to know. I’m assuming if he’s working on a contract with BYU, you’d have some insider information. Maybe there’s nothing going on.

LOL…how about the most obvious, but overlooked, nickname…the Utah Lakers? Another one…Utah Spikes…due to the meeting place of the Trans-Continental Railroad.

According to him, the Utah hockey team has received over 5000 season ticket deposits in the first 45 minutes that they were made available.

The Blues refers to music. That’s why they have a musical note as their logo. But, the best name for any sports team belong to the club sports at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). RISD’s club hockey’s team nickname is the “Nads”. It’s even better to know that the school’s club basketball team is known as the Balls. And then the mascot.…[Read more]

Most other NHL teams have Flex Plans starting at 10 games and up. I’m going to wait until it gets closer to the season and see if something like that becomes available. If not, I guess I’ll just cherry pick certain games on the secondary market.

Since we’re going that route, why don’t you close the loop and call them the Utah Mazzacre? See what I did there?

Hey Narf, how did you do the deposit? Online or via phone with an agent?

Not complaining, but this is what college football has turned into…who can get the best one season rental.

Sad, sad day… you’d figure that they’d keep it there until all PAC athletic competitions were finished. I mean, there are still a ton of PAC varsity sports still going on.

The Huntsman family fortune makes Smith look like chump change. The problem is that it’s dispersed among many individuals. As a point of inference, when Jon Huntsman Sr. died in 2018, he left over $11B to his heirs. If Huntsman Sr. was alive and well today, Utah might have had their version of Phil Knight. To be honest though, Huntsman Sr.…[Read more]

Vandy’s problem is that it’s a small, elite private school (7500 undergrads) located in a state that’s already serviced entertainment wise by a colossus, the Tennessee Volunteers. Guarantee you that Tennessee has at least three or four times the number of fans in Nashville as Vanderbilt. If you’re a media outfit, why pay twice to cover the same…[Read more]

He was getting sufficient playing time at Utah so I have to imagine there’s some sort of recompense involved. I’d be interested to see how much in NIL a guy like Faaiu commands. I mean, he’s just a serviceable starter.

Parrish is good but not much better, if at all, than guys like Bernard. He most certainly is not to the level of guys we’ve had here in the past like a truly healthy JJ, TT in his right mind or Zack Moss… don’t get me wrong, I would most definitely take him because you can’t ever have enough quality backs but, if he came to Utah, I would not…[Read more]

I’ve been following this channel since the point that Utah decided to join the Big 12. One thing that irks me? Toll’s constant reference since Day 1 of CKW as “Crazy Uncle Kyle” as if Kyle is some dude that just blurts out stuff and isn’t in possession of all of his faculties.

This is from Drake C. Toll… he’s got to create daily content in order to maintain his job. I wouldn’t place much importance on it. But, as you say, how this ends is big names leaving their current conferences and creating a new, by invitation-only entity. That’s the only real way to avoid protracted litigation.
