Totally agree Eagle. Not sure how much more of a sample size we need to determine that Smith is not the answer. There’s no excuse for not making the tournament this season. All I have to say is that Utah’s in-game coaching is nothing short of pathetic. You get a rebound with a timeout and 9 seconds left and the best you can do is a long three pointer by a bad 3PT shooter? Utah is never going to do anything or go anywhere with Smith at the helm. Not sure how much longer Larry K would have stayed in Utah. He made a mint during his time there and hasn’t worked a day since getting fired. I read a story recently on him and how much he’s enjoying retirement.

You’re probably right. Currently, the Big 12 has five teams ranked in the Top 20 and nine teams at 19 victories plus. Two of those teams with 19 victories plus are Texas and Oklahoma but you can easily replace them with Arizona and Colorado. To me, this program is in a cul-de-sac with no easy way out.
