*que the famous 30 for 30 voiceover*
“What if I told you, that even after the Cam knee surgery/surgeon drama ALL year, the numerous players injured on a weekly basis and losing to Northwestern in the bowl game, it actually gets more painful the following season? Even after getting Cam, Kuithe and a very talented group of pass catchers assembled. P…[Read more] -

50K wow hit em where it counts.
Funny how the “governing” bodies have very little teeth anymore.
It’s like the risk vs reward with the insider trading thing. You get like a fine of 2-3 million on a billion dollar deal. There is no incentive to follow the rules at all anymore.

Utah may have a smaller stadium but we at least have paragraphs in long form writing.

EagleMountainUte replied to the topic Arguing over a call in a game that is now over is childish behavior in the forum Football 4 hours, 25 minutes ago
Most childish thing is bitching about conversations had among fans on a board. It’s like your analogy of kids whining about bed time. So you engage in this whining saying well bed time is what you need and here are the reasons why.
Nope just ignore it and put it to bed by ignoring it.

Whittingham said this has been the most frustrating season of his career, but he’s most proud of the high-character players on the roster who make it easier as they each work to get through this tough season.

Lifewise, yes. But they had to sub Shelley, and then Lisk, in when they wanted to run RPO in 2019. That should have been the clearest indicator necessary that Ludwig was going to tip off his play calls based on personnel but it’s not really germane to this thread.

I believe the 5 yard rule you are referring is only in the NFL

Agreed but you look at other programs in Utah’s realm and it doesn’t seem as bad anywhere else.

two things can be true at the same time:
1. Receivers use their hands and bodies to separate themselves from defenders who are at the same time using their hands and bodies to keep the receivers close (happens all the time)
2. Defensive holding is not a common callIf you are really interested in how hard a call that is to make, here are a…[Read more]

ProudUte hasn’t been around the last couple of weeks. Not sure if it’s because he’s run out of things to put a positive spin on or this reality check of a season has him sitting in his living room fort until the horror finally ends.

If it had affected the play, the ball would have landed incomplete and the call would have been pass interference. I don’t know why this is so hard. You are assuming an outcome for the play that didn’t happen.
I don’t know the play call any more than you do so I’m just interpreting what I see from your clip. Tell me if you think it is…[Read more]

Ted? What’s really the goal with carrying this conversation on?
This is what I’m talking about when I say that I’m okay with playing BYU the team but hate everything else about the rivalry. If that game was against Oregon, Washington or any team not named BYU we’d have our 24 hour pity party and already have moved on to next week. Maybe…[Read more]

EagleMountainUte replied to the topic Joel Klatt with objective evaluation of The Call in the forum Football 8 hours, 20 minutes ago
It is far from objective analysis. Comparing defensive PI to holding isn’t exactly apples to apples imo.
Big12 absolutely has been neglecting Defensive PI all season. Arizona game was probably the most egregious game.
Holding has a pretty clear definition on how it is called.
From a fan perspective I don’t trust the officials Utah has had to…[Read more]
