Well, I got my wish that if Whitt came back it would be with an overhauled Offensive staff.

I agree totally. Sometimes the offense has to take risks because of the lack of confidence in the defense.
Utah had the opposite problem I feel. End of game we saw the defense give up these late touchdowns because of a worn down defense. Eventually an offense can make it through the holes to score. Well except Utah’s offense ironically.

Also people talking about his 1:1 TD INT ratio. Last year was his first with Beck and Koy Detmer Jr. An entire offseason and in the system will be huge. Beck and Koy are very good QB coaches and I expect his passing to be much more effective.

I think there is a lot of upside with him.
Athletic he is very quick laterally and has good vision.
Leader. He has command when he takes the field. Seems to have a purpose and wants to do well.

That is how it works. Nike took a risk on Michael Jordan and it paid off massively. 7 million invested in this kid for whatever reason seems like a short term large investment in a kid that could lead to better things.

I don’t need to spare you at all. Universities lost the court battle. They should 100% be allowed to sell their image. The current system when it comes to morals is infinitely better than what it was in the past.

I know this is like a popular trend right now I just don’t see the point. We were fine with it 20-30 years ago when the University pocketed the money. What changed? A kid getting the money instead somehow makes it different?

It is really hard to not overlook his rushing numbers. I also think UNM did no favors to Dampier. I think it partially explains the TD/INT ratio.
