I would hope the opposite if we get up by 17-21 points. I’d hope we’d feel comfortable enough then to let Wilson continue working on some things and give him more experience on some more aggressive plays. Up like that, we could afford a turnover or two and still win comfortably.

But most importantly, does Utah State, now waking up this morning with their conference in shambles, come out extra sluggish or extra motivated in the game Saturday?

I read through that thread and the rest of the board. I think most Baylor fans are pretty level headed in considering this a very different Utah team then what they saw last year, and with both teams playing FCS teams in their openers, there’s not a ton to garner as far as what changes have truly happened.

I mean, between Singer, Parks and Lyons, we saw what, maybe 5-6 targets before starters got pulled? I can see the point of not being scared, but that’s only because they wouldn’t even really know what’s there this year.

I do think Utah shows out a little more this year, and isn’t afraid to blow teams out if they can.

That’s why I thought the use of Stanley was so interesting on Thursday. I mean, if he’s going to break open long TDs, then that’s just what happens, but it basically hid our WRs.

However, I wonder how much of that was happy accident vs. designed in not showing too much of our WR corp just yet.
