With only 4 playoff spots available, I think there is no way you should qualify to play for a national title when you can’t even win your conference title.

If Utes beat a 12-0 UW in the P12CG, we would eliminate UW from the playoffs. Conference champions only in the playoffs and I’d be shocked if that ever changes.

Considering it’s close to Halloween, probably dress like a pirate day, if I’m speaking for the north end zone.

11.5 points for Washington on the road?!!? Get me to Wendover right now so I can confidently throw down a chunk of change on the Utes. Huskies are untested and the road is a hard place to win in the conference. Even Arizona took Washington to OT in Tucson.

Special teams 100% made the Cal loss happen, made the USC game closer by gifting them 7 points to Adoree Jackson. Such a huge part of the game and it’s not fun having it a weak spot.

Was nice to turn the tide with this long, grinding drive. Don’t love that we needed a couple 4th and 1 conversions and then the throat slash personal foul to save the drive. Encouraging things about this team, hopefully can get healthy and improve over the next 2 weeks to get to 6-1 by the time UCLA game rolls around.

It certainly hurts to spend one of our mulligans on a very winnable game. Positives that despite it starting out like a complete disaster and going down 14-0, the team put themselves in position to win the game. I get the Colorado love, but predicting they win the south is still a huge stretch, IMO. They have looked good against underwhelming teams. I still think they get beat by both LA schools, Stanford and who knows who will still be standing when the Utes play them.

Agreed about making a trophy. Winning some hardware adds some extra incentive and will spur on the rivalry naturally. You get to rub the trophy in their face. It’s helped the RSL/Colorado rivalry to have a cup go to the winner there. Love the idea of the old time trophy to refer to those old conference times, too!
